Charlotte Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)
This home is part of The Home Collection--Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences. TheHomeCollectionCLT.com
This two bedroom residence is located on Queens Rd., one of the prettiest tree-lined avenues in the city, in the prestigious neighborhood of Myers Park, 1 mile from Uptown. Created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911, Myers Park's curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks combine to create one of the South's most livable neighborhoods, a mile from Uptown.
We've maintained the character of the historic 1920's apartment building, while completely updating and renovating the interior. Stainless appliances with granite countertops, new heating and cooling systems and plumbing provide modern amenities, while the original refinished hardwoods, bathroom tile, graceful arched doorways and 2-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.
Large double-hung windows let in an abundance of light in all of the rooms, and the screened porch allows you to enjoy the outside, whether for breakfast in the morning or for a drink or meal in the evening. The apartment is located on the ground floor, to the rear of the building, so it's quiet and private with easy access. Off-street parking is also provided.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc., a gas range with convection oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, and a stackable washer and dryer. Off of the kitchen, a dining area comfortably seats four but can seat up to six.
In the large living room, upholstered furniture provides comfortable seating, a flatscreen television offers entertainment options, and a desk and wifi enable business travelers to work.
400-thread-count linens and thick Egyptian cotton towels offer all of the comforts of home, and each bedroom has a generous closet and a television. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second has two twin beds. The sofa in the living room is large enough for one person to sleep on.
Wide sidewalks and towering oaks throughout the neighborhood provide an ideal place for walking or jogging, and a coffee shop, multiple restaurants (including Ethiopian, Thai, casual and fine Italian, etc.), shopping and even an independent movie theater are a half mile away. Spring through fall, a farmers market is open Wed, Fri and Sat around the corner from the apartment, and a new greenway offers a convenient connection to Freedom Park, Dilworth and Carolinas Medical Center.
Ideal for short- or long-term stays for business or pleasure, or when visiting someone at either CMC or Presbyterian Hospitals, our goal is for you to feel at home during your stay. We'll try hard to accommodate almost any special request and we live less than 2 miles away, so are readily available should something come up. We look forward to hosting you. If this apartment is not available for your preferred time period, please ask as we have others available in similarly great locations.

About Jim Hock
My husband James and I travel extensively and prefer staying in apartments rather than hotels when we travel. Upon our return from a month renting a great place in Istanbul last summer, we decided to offer some of our properties here on airbnb! We are Green Developers (see our latest LEED-certified project celadongreenway dot com) who enjoy meeting new people and introducing them to our fair city. I'm a native Charlottean so can help provide a true local's perspective during your visit, which can be especially helpful for people relocating to Charlotte. Our clean and comfortable properties are located near Uptown Charlotte, in very walkable and safe neighborhoods. We try our best to provide a true home away from home. Thanks in advance for your interest and we look forward to hosting you.

Why Jim Hock chose Charlotte
Charlotte has been my home for 40+ years, and we love sharing our city with other travelers. We feel that location is paramount in any decision to vacation, and ours is one of the most centrally located neighborhoods in the entire city. We purchased this home and lived here a number of years before buying a single family home nearby.
What makes this condo unique
Location, location, location. Our walkable neighborhood provides the ability to live car-free, and when a car is needed, you can get anywhere in the area in minutes. Near both hospitals and close to the Uptown business district, you'll enjoy staying in the center of everything, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. As a native Charlottean, I can help guide you around our city, and can be especially helpful for those relocating to the area.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We are relocating to Charlotte, NC from FL and are looking for a house. We were fortunate enough to be hosted by Jim and James from from Oct. 11-18th. It was like coming home! Before our arrival, Jim provided detailed information, so there was no confusion about where to go or what to do. We walked in to a gently lit, stunningly decorated, amazing dwelling; they also had light music playing for us. We dropped our bags, poured a drink and enjoyed a wonderful quiet evening on the back porch. There is no comfort overlooked. Just pack your toothbrush and stay with them. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality, if you are debating whether or not to stay here do NOT hesitate. Book now!
