Long before the 1960 Olympics made snow a precious resource in Squaw Valley, mining was king. When the short boom between 1863 and 1864 petered out, the miners moved south and founded a community on the shores of Lake Tahoe and named it Tahoe City. When you stay at this affordable, beautifully appointed condo, you're just a short two miles from the wealth of fun and entertainment that is the real legacy of those intrepid miners. Not only is Tahoe City a gateway to all the water sports available around Lake Tahoe, you'll be just 15 minutes away from the veritable gold standard for winter sports in the U.S. - beautiful Squaw Valley.
With its mountain decor, cozy wood paneling, and wood fireplace, the home is reminiscent of a mountain lodge. But you won't be roughing it! This newly carpeted condo has everything you'll need to make your Lake Tahoe getaway comfortable and easy. Throw another log on the fire, settle into one of the comfy chairs with a pillow in just the right spot behind you. This condo is determined to help you have fun: Look in the closet and you'll see tennis rackets, beach chairs, floaties, and a cooler you can use!
Don't feel like dining out at one of the many eateries in the area? No problem. The full kitchen - from microwave to coffeemaker - are up to the challenge of any meal or culinary skill. Enjoy your meal around the big wooden table that seats six or, in the summer, slip out on the deck and grill up some surf 'n'turf on the gas barbecue.
When it's time for bed, head upstairs to the condo's three bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a king bed and luxury linens, a vanity and closet, and cable flat screen TV. The bunk room has a twin-over-full bunk bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. There is a full bathroom and tub upstairs. And you won't be dragging clothes to the laundromat. There's a full-size washer and dryer next to the half bathroom downstairs.

This was a great place for my family to stay for our ski weekend. Although the decor could maybe do with a little refresh, it was clean, tidy and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. I am sure we will stay here again.
This condo was great for our small family of 4, can hold 6 people very comfortably. Spa and pool were very welcomed. We felt very fortunate to get such a nice rental for a very reasonable price. Recommend this unit highly to those who will be out and about doing activities around the Lake Tahoe area and are not concerned about lack of a lake view or spaciousness of the accommodations. The fact that it is connected to other units caused only a bit of concern with our kids making noise and stomping up and down the stairs. We had no issues with noise from the neighbors and pray that they had no issues with us!!!
This was a lovely condo and a perfect location. The only downside is that the neighbors are literally connected to the condo so you have to keep the noise down. We have two young kids who like to wake up early and we felt really bad for the neighbors.
As a 24 year old in law school, I don't have much disposable income. This made finding a place over 4th of July weekend rather difficult. This condo in Glen Meadow was a perfect solution. Although there was a 5 night minimum, the price was cheaper than a 4 night stay at other places. There is PLENTY of parking (we brought 5 cars because a bunch of us drove separately), and the neighbors are very sweet. It is a 2 mile walk into town, which is so easy during the summertime. A beach / the lake is a less than 10 minute walk away, and there's a local cakery in the neighborhood that is convenient and delicious as well. A couple people in my group spent the mornings on jogs in the neighborhood! The condo itself had a grill + small back patio where we BBQed. The only downside to this condo is that there is only 1.5 baths (aka one shower) for 7, so you'll have to space it out. This is not a luxury location, but it gets the job done. If you're in Tahoe, you should be outdoors exploring the wilderness anyway (:
This condo was a great Tahoe getaway for me and my friends. The place is nice and cozy (the pictures are accurate!), well-furnished, clean, and the community hot tub, basketball courts, and community pool are just a few minutes away. It can be a bit tricky finding the complex and navigating through it, so know where you are and try not to get lost at night! The staff are accessible and prompt, and the location can't be beat (we went white water rafting on Truckee River and kayaking on the lake!). One thing to keep in mind is that if you're planning on having a rowdy evening, consider not renting a condo. The neighboring condos are all around you, and not everyone is a vacationer. Noise levels need to be kept down out of respect and courtesy. So if you're here for a more relaxed vacation in a great location at a great price, I would recommend this place! But for the noiser parties, consider a more private cabin (which we'll be renting next time) :)
