Our house, and our rental is in an urban part of West Seattle, adjacent to an award winning sustainably designed 'green' community. The location is hard to beat.
Walk the neighborhood: A short walk down the hill to grocery store, restaurants, microbrewery and more. On Saturdays the best food truck, Marination, is open just down the street.
Drive/Bus to the best of Seattle: An 8 minute drive to downtown, 15 minutes to the airport! Located on an Express bus line - 25 minutes to downtown and Pike Place market; 30 minutes to Seatac Airport. Drive 6 minutes to the heart of West Seattle and a world class french bakery, outstanding coffee shop and restaurants of all varieties.
While very convenient to urban features, we are also very well located for exploring the wilder parts of the City. We are a 5 minute drive to Lincoln Park, a 135 acre urban oasis with forested trails, a paved walkway along Puget Sound, a salt water seasonal pool, kayak/boat launch and the Ferry to Vashon Island. Keep an eye open for the resident bald eagles and the occasional visiting seal! Ten minutes and you are walking along Alki Beach, watching the volley ball games, skaters, cyclists, family's having picnics, people walking dogs and eating fish and chips. The Pacific Northwest version of a Southern California or Miami beach scene!
The details: Rental rates do not include taxes. Pet friendly, after discussion and with a little extra $$ for cleaning and security deposit. Two night minimum stay.

About The Owner
Greg works for a Western regional nonprofit environmental advocacy center. Cindy runs the house. We both run after our two year old English Springer Spaniels!
We love sharing our favorite City, Seattle, and our favorite neighborhood, West Seattle with friends and visitors. Seattle offers a fabulous mix of outdoor adventure and City culture. Whether bicycling, scuba diving, kayaking, walking/hiking or exploring the local art scene let us be your guides. And if you like food, you have arrived in paradise. From the local farmers market, to the fisherman's docks and of course the famous Pike Place Market we will share local secrets. And our favorite local recipes!

Location, location, location. Our house, and our rental is in an urban part of West Seattle, adjacent to an award winning sustainably designed 'green' community. It is a licensed 'accessory dwelling unit' (a fancy term for what used to be called mother-in law apartments). We love it because it offers us room for old and new friends alike.
What makes this apartment unique
Our home, and the rental is on a quick and direct bus line to downtown (or an 10 minute drive to Pike Place Market) ; an easy bus ride to the airport (or 15 minute drive), yet only 5 minutes from one of the best urban parks anywhere - Lincoln Park - and its 135 acres of forests, fields and Puget Sound Shoreline. Six minutes from the vibrant urban center of 'the junction', a world class bakery, a Japanese restaurant that sells only sustainably harvested fish, an Irish pub and one of Seattle's best coffee shops are just a few of its offerings. Alki Beach is about 10 minutes away. We don't have a spacious yard or park like setting, but we provide the ultimate jump off spot to both the City's great features and practical necessities like. And when you return from your adventure you can relax in a clean, comfortable, spacious and private setting to recharge and plan the next day's adventure. If you are a business traveler you the convenience of easy downtown and airport access yet at the end of a busy day get to retreat to a true neighborhood removed from the fast pace of downtown.
