Great Apartment duplex with all what you need to fell like home.
Huge space and nice décor. Owner very helpful and attentive
Cheers from France!!!
We really liked this apartment. Roomy convenient with an awesome view of midtown and ESB. Wifi was not operational during stay which I assume was a glitch. We are staying again in May. Great neighborhood although can be a bit rowdy late night from partiers on Ave. A bar scene.
The apartment itself is perfect. The pictures are accurate and it's really fantastic and well equipped.. It is in a great location for strolling around the East Village. There is a cute place right on the corner with a nice outdoor seating area when the weather permits. Perfect for a night cap on your way home. It is a bit of a hike to the subway (about 6 blocks) On a nice day, not bad, but it poured for 2 days while we were there so it seemed a lot farther. Plenty of grocery stores to pick up essentials close by. My only issue was we were left hanging by the owner until 24 hours before we were due to arrive. We still didn't have an address or any check in instructions. I contacted homeaway.com's customer service and they were able to contact the owner for us (No phone number on listing and several emails requesting this information were ignored) It all worked out and we had a lovely time, but I do think the owner could have been more responsive.
We stayed in the property the week of Thanksgiving. It is a large apartment, apparently recently remodeled. All the appliances and furniture are new and high quality. It is spacious with a large living room - kitchen area and an upstairs loft (but with large closets) bedroom. Deck with view of Empire State, but we didn't use it due to cold. Wifi is good and strong enough to stream video. It's on the fourth floor of a building in the heart of east village. Elevator. Triple security (outside and second interior door, plus apartment door. The apartment faces away from the street, so no street noise, at least in the winter. The owner was responsive to any questions we had and was quick ti act on some early issues with operating the house systems. We liked the location - 10 min from local subway, 18 min from Union Square with subways to everywhere + Whole Foods. Key Foods full grocery two blocks away. Many charming restaurants and stores in the area. The only problems we had were operating some of the systems, like the enter intercom and the heating. It took several visits to figure it out. The owner was instantly responsive to help, but I think the problem was the complex systems were installed and no one entirely knew how they worked and there were no manuals. I didn't attempt the washer/drier as it looked complicated. I'd go back now that I know how to work things, but be sure to make sure you understand how to operate everything you want to on arrival.
Mi wife, mi daughter and me stay 9 days in the apartment. Everything was great. The apartment is beautiful and it is located in a great place. The owner and the employees were very friendly. We recommend this apartment!
My wife and I recently stayed for a week at this great apartment. The area was great for East Village as well as easy walks from Gramercy down to SOHO. Buenos Aires restaurant is great place for a drink and dinner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this luxurious apartment. Travelers included my husband and I and our 17 year son. Our Brooklyn-residing daughter came over and stayed with us too. The listing was quite accurate and photos reflected well the unit's amenities. The bathroom had even been upgraded since the listing and was quite beautiful. The upstairs balcony with retractable awning and expansive views of city skyline were an unexpected delight.
The location was wonderful, quiet at night but the life of the village immediately outside the front door. Security in the building seemed good. We had unseasonably warm weather and the air-conditioning worked effectively.
The unit was clean on arrival although the floor was a bit dusty. We would have appreciated a broom or swifter to use during our 6 day stay. There was only one partially used roll of TP and single used bar of soap in the bathroom on our arrival, so we had to go out quickly and buy supplies.
In every other way, all of our needs had been anticipated.
We would highly recommend this apartment to friends and plan on trying to stay there again ourselves.
