Warm Cajun welcome

We enjoyed our stay at Bayou Rose Cottage very much. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean, peaceful and every amenity we could think of was provided. We enjoyed the simple pleasure of sitting on the covered deck gazing at the bayou. Anne and Mike provided us with helpful information for our Cajun Country exploration, such as recommending Champagne's swamp tour and showing us how to eat take-out crawfish from a local restaurant. Abbeville is a good location for visiting the historic Cajun village at Lafayette, the towns of St. Martinville and New Iberia and Avery and Jefferson Islands. In addition, the town itself is more charming that the much larger center of Lafayette. We regret we did not have more time to spend in the area as our stay at Bayou Rose Cottage was a highlight.
