Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

The apartment features two comfortable bedrooms with new and modern furniture and a nice fully equipped open kitchen that faces the living-dining area. You will feel like home. The patio area is shared with the two other units in the building. However it is never crowded and always fun to have a glass of wine outside.

Liquor stores, bars, groceries and restaurants are only few blocks away from the apartment. Some of the best restaurants are on our guest's guide and they are within walking distance: Flour and Water, Gratitude, Blowfish, Limon Rotisserie, and more. BART stations Mission 24th and Mission 16th Street are respectively only 12 and 17 minutes away walking distance. If you are not a big fan of the BART, you can take Bus#27 one block away from the apartment, which will take you to Union Square in 25 min.

PARKING SITUATION

There is no parking in the building. You can park in the street for free, it is not limited and parking permit is not needed. Or you can park at the closest City-Owned Parking Garage located on 2351 Mission St. There is also a Bart station (subway) only a few blocks away so you don't need a car to move around.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION & DISTANCES

Union Square is 2.7 miles away from the property: By car or taxi: 13 min. By public transportation: 25 min. Take the BART direction East Bay and stop at Powell St.

The Moscone Center is 2.2 miles away from the property: By car or taxi: 9 min. By public transportation: 19 min. Take the Bus #12 direction Van Ness and stop at 4th St. Walking distance: 40 min.

Fisherman's Warf is 4 miles away from the property: By car or taxi: 17 min. By public transportation: 40 min. Take the bus #12 direction Van Ness and stop at 3rd St. Then take Bus #8x direction Fisherman’s Wharf and stop there (terminal).

The SFO Airport is 12.3 miles away from the property: By car or taxi: 18 min. You can also book a shuttle service. By public transportation: 45 min. Take BART at the airport direction East Bay, and stop at 24th St Mission.

Neighborhood: MISSION

The Mission has the best weather in the city, especially this block. It is frequently warm and sunny when the rest of the city can be cold and foggy. In addition to that, it is less windy than many neighborhoods. Residents in the Mission are incredibly diverse. Artists, street people, professionals and the general SF lot mix. Its gentrification is making it one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city.

Very clean appartment, very quiet neighborhood

Stayed in the appartment for a week. Enjoyed it much better than usual hotels.
Advantages:
Very clean.
There is everything you need.
Nice neighborhood.
30 minutes walk (or 12$ taxi) to the city center.
Less than 10 minutes walk to train.
Good cafes around
Can easily sleep 4 people.

Disadvantages:
Very thin walls (I believe it is a general problem in SF)
Car parking is a real problem
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Mission apartment review

The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful too. It's located on a quiet, safe family street and the Mission area was fun - lots of bars and restaurants with a vibrant multi-cultural mix. There's a bus stop around the corner and it's about a 15 minute walk from the BART station.

My only minor gripe was that the heating in the living room didn't seem up to the cold weather. Maybe some extra electric heaters might be good. I stayed in December - I imagine that it would be fine in other months. The heating for the other rooms was fine.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
