Please check our rates and availability posted on the web site before inquiring. Walk one block to the pristine Lake Michigan beach and live in Kid's Corner Park with a view of the lake from almost every room. This 1885 home has been renovated from top to bottom in a Victorian Beach decor.

The first floor has an enclosed front porch that provides a great place to relax and enjoy the summer. It has a living room with a 42in flat screen TV, a double mantle antique fireplace, a pull-out sofa for additional sleeping for two, and a relaxing view of the park and Lake Michigan. It also has a dining room, galley kitchen and laundry room. Finally, there are two bedrooms, a master and smaller bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and bathroom with double sinks and walk-in shower. The smaller bedroom has twin beds. There is also a full bathroom with double pedestal sinks, separate shower and large claw foot tub.

The upstairs has a family room with a vaulted ceiling that has sleeping room for two, a 42in flat screen TV, antique oak and brass bar, and extra refrigerator for keeping drinks cold. It also has a balcony with a patio table and chairs that oversees the park and Lake Michigan. The other two bedrooms upstairs sleep four, one with twin beds, the other with a queen bed. A center hall bathroom has a single sink and claw foot shower/tub.

The Cottage in Kid's Corner location is perfect for families who want easy access to the Park's playground, ball field and picnic area, plus public beach access immediately across the street.

Why The Owner chose South Haven

The first time we came to South Haven we fell in love with it. It's located at the mouth of the Black River with the most majestic view of the harbor. The south side is more spacious and quaint.

What makes this house unique

You are surrounded by a park and it's like being in a living picture. You see kids playing, people picnicking, family gatherings, and beautiful Lake Michigan.

The Place To Stay

This property was perfect for our family vacation in August. There was plenty of room for the eight adults and six children in our group. The whole property was well-maintained, and roomy enough for everyone to spread out. Having the Kid's Corner Park adjacent to the house was fantastic, as was as the close access to the beach. The first thing everyone wanted to do when we returned home, was to send a deposit in for next year!

Simply marvelous home in South Haven

We call this our home away from home, because every time we vacation in South Haven, we try to get this mansion on Kids' Corner and it feels like our home! It is a 2 minute walk to the fabulous beach and walking distance to downtown. There is an upstairs bedroom we've dubbed as the "man cave" because it has a TV, a bar, fridge, trundle bed under the twin, a couch and a beautiful balcony from which one overlooks the park and the beach. My fav room is the front enclosed sunporch where we have our morning coffee and read. This month we enjoyed basking in the sun out on the front lawn in the hammock and playing checkers round the table using adirondack chairs. Everything is impeccable.

A family-friendly haven in South Haven

We had a fantastic vacation in this lovely home with the best location in town! It's hard to say whether our two young children enjoyed the proximity to the beach or to Kids Korner Park more. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed, right down to DVDs, beach toys, and even a stroller. We brought our bikes and rode into town at least once a day. We also rode through town and hopped on the Kal Haven trail. The only time all week we got into our car was to go berry picking. Everything else we wanted to do was either a short walk or bike ride away. The kitchen is well stocked, and the grill made for easy home-cooked dinners to keep our trip on budget. The owners were helpful and pleasant to work with. The house is so roomy we're bringing relatives along next time. The house is big enough for one family to sleep downstairs and the other to sleep upstairs. You won't feel like you're tripping over each other. We can't wait to return!
