This is the perfect place to enjoy all that Hollywood has to offer. Walking distance to Hollywood and Highland, Mann Chinese Theater, Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Cinerama Dome, Amoeba Music, tons of restaurants, bars and nightclubs - there is literally no chance you will ever be bored in this neighborhood.
The apartment is gigantic - over 850 square feet. There is a ton of room for everything with two closets, shelves and drawers for all your stuff. There are lots of areas to relax and enjoy. First of all the private balcony gives you a birds eye view of the neighborhood and the lush garden below.
The master bedroom features a super comfortable queen size bed, DirecTV, DVD player, iPOD dock and original artwork. Moving further in there is a guest room with a desk and a futon couch that folds out into a queen size bed. That room also features original artwork and double doors that open out onto the private balcony. I'd count the guest room and the porch as the 'living area' - they work best together with the doors open.
The kitchen has a large breakfast nook and vintage stove. Pots, pans, silverware, a toaster, microwave, coffee pot, kettle, everything you need to prepare basic meals if you enjoy cooking - although there are numerous restaurants to suit every budget within walking distance and many of them deliver as well.

The neighborhood is the big draw. It's walking distance to so many great places and our corner is very friendly and the neighbors are great.
The history of the property is interesting as well. I am only the third owner since 1915 when the main house was built. It was one of the first in the neighborhood. A Greek family bought it in the 70s and the father was the one who established the community garden across the street. Apparently he used to go across the street and gather ingredients while he was cooking. Neighbors come by and tell stories about him - I guess he was a bit of a character.
When I was looking at it it just felt like the kind of place I'd want my son to grow up and invite my friends and family to come over and enjoy.

We are an Italian couple and we spend 10 wonderful days in this apartment. The owner Alex is very kind and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable and has in a central location, 10 minutes walk to the Walk of Fame and 10 minutes by car from everything il LA. The area is quiet and we parked our Camaro Convertible along the road in front of the garage, where there is a washing machine and dryer available for the guests. The kitchen is equipped with all utensils and even the apartment has it all, many towels, hair dryer and iron. Really comfortable and very recommended, we plan to return next year.
This beautiful place has truly become a home away from home for me, every time I come here. It is situated
in a perfect location and in a nice garden, and it's very cozy, not too big, not too small, simply just right!
The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need.
Alex, the owner, is a wonderful person, so reliable and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Location is good, 15 min walk to Metro station on Hollywood Blvde. Small corner store a few min walk away is good. Owner helpful with guests when we stayed there. Eateries within 10 min walk is good. Noise on balcony from the traffic is annoying so one doesn't bother sitting outside. The outdoor setting in yard is poor and unkept. Unit it a good size, bed comfy yet looks like a double bed on a queen base, weird, air con good. Had trouble getting refundable booking fee on departure from owner once we came home back to Australia, took 9 days and a few emails, it really isn't up to guest to pursue, contract stated immediate refund. If staying make sure you get your booking fee immediately refunded, it's a pain to pursue...no excuse cuts it...
This is the perfect space for a couple on the go! We were in town for both work and sightseeing, and this apt. suited our needs to a T. It's a great layout, with lots of thought put into the features. (If you do find something missing, Alex will make sure your needs are met. When we mentioned a coffee grinder, one was on our doorstep the next day!) Conveniently located to Hollywood attractions and great restaurants. Loved sitting on the outdoor balcony at the end of the evening. The only drawback was that it's on a busy street and traffic noise might bother some - but it's a wonderful place and still felt private.
My friend and I recently had a girls' weekend and stayed here. The place is clean and in a good location. You can easily walk to Hollywood Blvd and the metro station. The neighborhood is busy but safe enough and there is plenty to do, eat, and see nearby. It is absolutely worth the reasonable price. I would definitely stay there again.
The apt is large, well equipped, and the bed is super comfortable. (Lots of nice pillows!) Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. Lovely neighborhood to walk through. Close to restaurants and entertainment venues. Take the Metro to Union Station and Downtown... The Art Deco architecture is outstanding. We look forward to visiting LA and Fountain Avenue again.
