We are a family that loves to ski, hike, kayak, snowshoe, and snowmobile.
Daniel Venkauskas purchased this townhome in 2008
We live in Pennsylvania and have been coming to the Mt. Snow area for years. We love it year round.
In the winter there is skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, or just staying in by the fire.
In the summer there is hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, and canoeing close by. You can also just relax on our deck.
My family and I loved staying in this house. There was so much to do, and a lot of room for everyone. The house is comfortable and welcoming. We really loved eating breakfast on the deck overlooking the golf course. We will definitely come back.
Just spent a wonderful weekend at this meticulously cared for home. It was clean & comfortable for everyone in the family with many activities inside and out to do. The description captures the offering, however to seen and experience the place in reality pales any description. We felt like we were at home rather than at a rental place and the kids did not want to leave when it was time to go. The location was perfect to golfing (at Hermitage Golf course @ Haystack Mountain) 5 min to Haystack Mountain and 10 to Mount Snow. "Downtown" Wilmington is less than 10 min away. All in all I highly recommend and we can't wait to come back.
I have had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home several times. I promise you, you will want to go back again and again. The house is warm, comfortable, and cozy. Waking up in the morning and enjoying a hot cup of coffee on the deck, surrounded by the beautiful mountain views, is a great way to start your day. Though I am not a skier, there are many other things to do - shopping, taking long walks in the surrounding wooded areas, and enjoying delicious food in area restaurants. Of course, you may want to just stay put, cook dinner in the amazing kitchen, relax in the hot tub, or curl up with a good book by one of the two fireplaces. No matter what you do, you will be glad you chose this as your vacation spot!
Our visit was special. Never a dull moment with all the games and media available. Best of all is the kitchen / dining area...perfect for entertaining. Also enjoyed the great views across the Mount Snow Valley, hiking around the Haystack Golf Course and the seemingly endless miles of snowmobile trails.
Wilmington has several quaint shops. Our favorite shops are John McClouds west of Wilmington on Rt. 9 and Tallulah's east of Wilmington on Rt. 9. Manchester is about 45 minutes away if you are interested in outlet shopping. We enjoy going to The Vermont Country Store in Weston which is about 1 hr. away. Sam's in Bratteboro is a great place for sporting goods, shoes, and free popcorn! In the summer we go up to Putney to shop at Basketville and pick the best blueberries.
