This lake house takes your breath away when you enter the front door and catch a glimpse of the lake through the 3 picture windows in the living room. Set down your bag of groceries on the granite counter in the kitchen and go out on the lanai to catch the breeze off the lake and see the sailboats and jet skis crossing the water. Ah, you made it to the lake!

The three comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms offer plenty of room for a party of six. Two bedrooms have a queen bed, and one has two twin beds and each room has a TV with remote control. The house is perfect in any season - in summer you can swim off the dock or the beach. In the off-season the two fireplaces are a lot of fun. There is a stone fireplace in the living room and also an outdoor fireplace in the patio area. Both are very beautiful and will be part of great memories. The living room has a nice Sony HDTV and comfy seating.

Andy can take you on a pontoon boat ride for $100 + fuel. We also have a 14' jon boat available for rent to experienced boaters for $50/day + fuel.

Let us know if you are bringing your own boat and we will move our boat to give you plenty of room. We have a boat ramp and a nice, new floating dock.

About Andy and Kathy Keenan

Andy grew up in South Carolina and knows all about Lake Murray, fishing, and duck hunting. He loves boating and loves being a tour guide. Kathy grew up in northern New York, and sometimes misses the Adirondacks, but loves the climate in South Carolina and the beauty of Lake Murray.

Why Andy and Kathy Keenan chose Lexington

We bought this vacation home on Lake Murray because we love boating and swimming in fresh lake water. Going to the lake is such a stress reliever! The fishing is great - the bass fishing is great in the spring! You can catch catfish and bream and perch right off the dock. And yes, we have a large cast iron pan for fryin' them up.

What makes this cottage unique

The outdoor fireplace and the patio are so relaxing and the porch is a cozy place for your morning coffee or a cool drink. The living room is very large with a vaulted ceiling and 3 big picture windows that bring the lake right into the room! In the evenings you can curl up on the couch and read from our library or watch HDTV or play games (we have lots of games!). And the strolls around the neighborhood are great!

Our lake house is on the south side of Lake Murray, just off Rt. 378 west of the city of Lexington, SC. Lake Murray is a large freshwater lake, 41 miles long and 14 miles wide at its widest point, with 649 miles of shoreline. It is enjoyable year-round. The fishing is great and Lake Murray hosts several local and national fishing tournaments throughout the year. All kinds of boats are popular on the lake - motorboats, pontoon boats, sailboats, and jet-skis. The city of Lexington is only 14 miles away and offers all kinds of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Just past Lexington is Columbia, the capital of South Carolina. Columbia, the largest city in South Carolina, offers cosmopolitan dining, nightlife, history tours, museums, and the award-winning Riverbanks Zoo.

20 Min from downtown Lexington, 40 Minutes from downtown Columbia.

What a great place to stay! Andy and Kathy had everything you could possibly need to make you feel right at home. The house was very neat and clean and the views from the picture windows were just phenomenal! We were in town for an Alabama Softball Game in Columbia but I think we all had more fun just being at the house sitting by the oudoor fireplace. I can't wait to come back for a visit soon. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

My wife and I along with our friends had a wonderful relaxing weekend here. Everything was so user friendly and available it felt almost like being at home. We were extremely happy with this rental. The owners (Andy and Kathy) were very friendly and helpful. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more for a fun holiday with 2 small families (7 people) fitting comfortably. The setting on the lake is beautiful, the house is well maintained, the neighbors are friendly. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing getaway! We plan to return next year.
