Three bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, Full KItchen sleeps a maximum of 8.

Three story cottage with all of the comforts of home while you vacation at the shore. The cottage is owned and rented by Lafayette's Oceanfront Resort at Wells Beach so you have all of the comforts of staying at a large resort while enjoying a private home. Registered guests of the cottage will have use of the indoor heated pool, a 20-foot long hot tub with a waterfall, a fitness room and computers with internet access in the lobby.

Cottage: The cottage can sleep up to eight people. There is a master bedroom on the third floor with a king size bed, a beautiful view of the salt marsh and a bathroom with a shower. The second floor has two bedrooms, one with two double beds and a balcony overlooking the salt marsh and another with one queen bed. The first floor is an open concept space with a full kitchen, a dining area, a living room, a full bathroom, and a washer and dryer. A spiral staircase accesses all three floors. The back porch overlooks the salt marsh.

Policy: The cottage has cable TV and grill available for use. Bed linens and kitchen utensils are included. Guests must bring their own toiletries (towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, etc). Two free parking spots are available, additional vehicles will have to pay a daily fee to park in the overflow lot. There are no pets allowed at anytime. Daily housekeeping service is not included but there will be daily trash removal.

Historic Wells, Maine continues to be one of the finest family vacation getaways around. Conveniently located approximately an hour and a half from Boston and situated perfectly between the quaint villages of Ogunquit and Kennebunkport, Wells boasts several miles of beautiful coastline that offer something for everyone.

Recreational activities include kayaking, fishing, and sailing. There are miles of both hiking and biking trails located nearby, including the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve at Laudholm Farm and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Preserve.

Dining selections include lobster and clam shacks, family-friendly restaurants and fine dining establishments. The area also offers historic sites, lighthouses, antique shops, collectible bookstores, and outlet stores. The Wells Transportation Center is home of the Downeaster Passenger Train by Amtrak that runs from Boston's North Station to Portland. The area is also served by taxis and an in-season trolley service.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Marshview Cottage and we enjoyed ourselves very much. House was fully equipt with everything we needed in the kitchen. Loved having the washer and dryer. Bedrooms were very comfortable (top floor room is a little warm). Nice quiet area and very easy and close walk to the beach. Only complaint would be the staircase. I thought it would be really charming and add great character to the house, which it did! However, not the easiest to get up and down. We were unable to bring any of our bags upstairs and ended up leaving all our clothes on the first floor. As adults, we were able to handle going up and down (the steps are slippery and make you dizzy) but I would not recommend renting this house if you have small kids. I could see them easily falling down. Other then that, a great experience!
