This quiet and spacious Hale is a newly remodeled ground floor retreat with private entrance and parking. It is beautifully furnished and fully equipped with everything you need for an island adventure.
It offers a separate bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed, bamboo floors, a large closet and ceiling fans.
The bath is completely tiled and has a tub as well as a shower.
The relaxing living room is furnished with a double futon, hardwood floors and ceiling fan.
The fully equipped kitchen is adorned with beautiful travertine tile floors, gas stove, electric oven, refrigerator and a large pantry. The french doors in the kitchen open to a large, private covered lanai and a private yard. There is a BBQ grill and outdoor dinning furniture.
There is a convenient utility room with a washer and dryer.
The Waikoloa Village Shopping Center is a short 5 minute drive away. There you find a modern food market, restaurants and a variety of shops and services.
While we are only 20 miles to the Kona Airport and 20 minutes to Hapuna and other spectacular Kohala Coast Beaches, we are situated just high enough to enjoy regular cool mountain breezes.
Beyond the beaches, Hawaii offers a host of outdoor activities and sightseeing oppportunities. Head to Waimea and visit the many shops and galleries.
Enjoy a day trip to the Volcano National Park. A memorable drive to Hilo along the Hamakua Coast offers breathtaking views of historic Waipio Valley. This area is also home to Akaka Falls, one of Hawaii's most famous. You'll see deep water-carved gulches and valleys, thick with tropical foliage. Stop and tour gardens full of exotic plants and orchids.
For adventure of a higher nature, the 13,700 foot summit of Mauna Kea provides dramatic scenery and an unforgettable visitor experience. The W. M. Keck Observatory provides a visitor’s gallery with exhibits describing astronomy research and star gazing.

The pool contains lounge chairs and tables, a covered area, showers, and restroom facilities. The pool temperature ranges throughout the year but is always comfortable for swimming.

Haena Hale is a clean, quiet and nicely decorated suite in a residential neighbourhood up in the hills of Waikoloa Village. It's centrally located to many attractions: twenty to thirty minutes away from the best beaches (Makalawena, Manini'owali, Hapuna and Mauna Kea Resort), Waimea town for their restaurants, farmer's markets and tourist attractions and a top Mauna Kea for their Stargazing program. It is also just ten minutes away from a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. I also like that is was just a little cooler in this area, a nice evening break from the heat. If you like to get away from all the tourists and have a mellow vacation then this place it what you are looking for.
a great place for 2 people to stay and use as a place to sleep.i would not recomend it for 4 people , it's just to small and the futon was uncomfortable. it was extremely clean and centrally located.everyone we had contact with were very nice. it had all of the basics covered. it had no air but you will not need it with the trade winds. it did need some things, like a electric coffee pot, which we had to go and buy, the only chair in the living room was broken, and the bed sheets would not stay on the bed. hopefully they will correct these problems. other than that it was well worth the price we paid for the 3 weeks there L & S
Great place to stay for a few days and use as a homebase for some activities. It was bigger than the pics appear and had everything you would need including laundry room. Nice neighborhood. Not too close to a lot to the activities or beaches but its a nice drive though. The only complaint we have is the last 2 days we were there some new people moved in to the upstairs rental and they were not very considerate. They stomped their feet at all hours of day and night and did not seem to understand that the laundry room was shared and they kept their door from the upstairs to the laundry room open all the time making it very loud and it seemed like they were in our place. Thank god they didn't have any children or it would of been much noisier..but the adults were not very conscientious of others. Overall, for the price it was a good experience and Lynette was very helpful in setting it up for us and answering any questions we had. Thank you
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious. We were well situated to visit the west coast beaches. Were given a pool pass however not given any instructions as to where the pool was located therefore could not use it.
Was a great space for the time my boyfriend and I were in Hawaii. Space was clean and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed the couple times we ate in. The owner was very quick in replying when I first emailed him about renting. It was close to the supermarket and there are not many others nearby. It was relatively close to many beaches about a 15min drive to some and about 40-45min to the Kona airport.
This was a great little house! I highly recommend to anyone looking to save some money, stay in a clean place with many amenities and have a tranquil experience. It is about 20 minutes from Waikoloa and 40 from the airport. Nothing is too close. If you like a "camping" type experience ... this is it. It fits 4 people nicely with a clean, stocked kitchen and nice yard.
