Many of our guests come here to rest and enjoy the lovely natural surroundings. Tranquillity, lot’s of free space and the chance to relax practising sports or playing as well as a smashing chalet or bungalow in our recreation park “De Groote Vliet” – what more could you ask for during your visit to the Netherlands! Our chalets and bungalows stand on plots situated right by the numerous water courses. You can reach the two inland seas Groote Vliet and Kleine Vliet by travelling along these water ways. Going through the lock at Medemblik you arrive at the Ijsselmeer. Bathers can enjoy themselves swimming by one of the three jetties situated on the shores of ‘de Groote Vliet’. Our younger guests have an adventure playground at their disposition. The park also contains a sports/football field, boat hiring facilities, a carp pond, a basketball field, a dogs’ toilet and a tennis court. Whether you stay over the weekend or for a longer period you will feel at home in no time at all.

Apart from the various possibilities which our park has to offer you, there’s lot more to do in the immediate vicinity. The recreation zone “De Vooroever” is just in front of the park. Take the boat out to sea, go sailing, sunbathing, swimming or surfing – everything is possible on the shores of the Ijsselmeer! A perfect combination of water, nature, sunbathing lawns and beach! The town of Medemblik lies about three kilometres from here which, apart from its fame as a modern yachting centre, is also popular because of its lively, quaint harbour. A myriad of shops and inviting restaurants complete the picture. Medemblik is also the main station on the steam railway, which will take you to Hoorn. Radboud Castle, the baker’s museum and the steam engine museum are all worth a visit. History comes back to life in the nearby Zuiderzee Museum at Enkhuizen.
