Everything and more, we had a great time staying here. It's just as advertised with a stocked kitchen, great views, great furnishings and very close to the beach. We will be coming back!
The owners were great to work with and very prompt with communications, this is a place to put on your favorite list.
We even had a visitor in the yard, the famed little bunny rabbit. Loved our stay, can't wait to return.
My husband and I decided to rent this beautiful home last minute for a weekend getaway. The house is beautiful, with artistic lighting throughout. We loved sitting on the large, private deck. The walk to the beach was shorter than some of the "beachfront" rentals we've had in the past. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything throughout the house was in perfect working condition. I also appreciate how the owners worked to get us directions and into the house on such short notice. This was a fantastic house for the value and we plan on returning.
We had rented many vacation homes over the years, but have never stayed in a home before where it was so evident the Owners truly cared about the comfort of their guests. The house is the most fully equipped we have been in. The beds and linens were top notch, and the house is very comfortable and relaxing. Short walk to the beach and a very quiet area for long enjoyable walks with our dog. Our week ended too soon, and we look forward to our return.
This home is even more wonderful than it looks in the pictures. In the upstairs loft there are two twin beds AND a set of bunk beds. There is a nice sofa with a chaise as well. The pictures on the site are before it was renovated. Three moms traveled with their young adult/teen children and we loved it. The kitchen is very useful. The view is pretty. Walking to the beach is just around the corner and down a little hill. If you need a flatter access, you can drive a minute or two north and park where there is a much flatter access. The accessibility to both Depoe Bay and Lincoln City was amazing. The Thriftway is just a couple of miles South on the highway for quick dinner pickups. We found the beach lovely. We found shells and agate. We built a fire and had s'mores. I spent many entire days right on the sand. When we went, it was foggy for half of the time. We were thrilled with the fog and with the sun! Both had beauty. The temperature was about the same on both weather conditions! High sixties was the norm. We love that. The deck is comfortable and great for listening to the crashing waves. There are plenty of beach chairs and even an umbrella...which we didn't need.:) There are games and cards, movies, xbox games and great surround sound tv that can be hooked up to your computer or you can use the xbox to access netflix.
This home is a fabulous find. Be sure to try it out!
Oh, and working with Diane was incredibly efficient and easy. What a great blessing to have emails responded to quickly! I was happy before we even arrived at the house!
Thanks! We ALL loved it.
This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 8, which included 2 pre-schoolers and 2 teenagers. The house was so clean, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, there was a great movie and video game collection... and oh, the beach! The short jaunt to the beach (where we got to see the little rabbits who inhabit the adjacent wooded lot) leads you to one of the largest, most pristine beaches I've ever seen on the Oregon Coast! The weather was so calm we couldn't even get our kite up, so we opted for long walks, beach combing and sand castle building instead (I even got a little sunburn!). One tip I have for families with younger children who would sleep up in the loft (bunk beds and 2 twin beds) is to bring a white noise machine or use the fan that is there, as there is no door to the room (although it is tucked back a bit from the downstairs). We brought our white noise machine and the kids slept great. We didn't have any issues. Having never stayed in a beach house before, I was a little nervous about the experience, but my nerves were calmed way before we even left town because of the excellent communication by the owners. And upon arrival we found the house to be everything they claim it to be. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone headed to this area of the Coast and my husband has already claimed it as our vacation home, so we'll definitely be back!
This was a perfect place for our two families to stay...perfect accommodations, slept 4 adults and 5 kids very comfortably. It's proximity to the beach was perfect. Clean but kinda funky...it is a great place for a getaway with family and friends. I HIGHLY recommend it...we plan to come back!
