Wonderful stay in a wonderful city!!

  • 5 of 5
Always love Charleston and staying at this beautiful and cute apartment on a quiet street close to everything made for a phenomenal vacation. We loved the setting, the comfortable bed, the cleanliness of the bathroom and kitchen, the great breakfast food, the sweetness of the DeMarcos and especially the lovely courtyard! The city has so many great restaurants, beautiful history/architecture and the recommendations are right on target. Having the Harris Teeter grocery a 1/2 block away as well as the parking pass just rocked! Totally enjoyed the time we spent -- would recommend this to anyone!

Perfect Downtown Charleston Apartment

  • 5 of 5
This is a great location for staying in and near downtown Charleston. The owners are very kind. The restaurants are wonderful. You are within walking distance to the Market for shopping. There is a grocery store less than 1 block away. Parking is included in the price. Overall a great stay. They provide continental breakfast items in your fridge/kitchen. No DVD player, but do you need one while in downtown Charleston? They also provide great information about recommended restaurants and things to do around Charleston. If you decide to go out for breakfast instead of the continental breakfast, I recommend Another Broken Egg or driving to the Early Bird Diner for chicken and waffles or cinnamon pancake.

What a fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5
After discovering that hotels in Charleston can be cost prohibitive, we decided to try VRBO for the first time - and wow, did we have a wonderful experience! The charming apartment is in the perfect location - we walked everywhere. Dinners (Minero and Husk - yum!), a walking tour (slave market, battery park, Calhoun mansion) Drinks on Upper King. We couldn't have asked for a better location, it was perfect.

The apartment itself was cozy and wonderful. It was quite and private and felt very safe. We loved the kitchen (and being able to keep our leftovers in the fridge) chocolates, roses and champagne awaited our arrival. We loved making coffee in the morning and sitting out in the garden (even thought it was chilly, it was lovely!). We used the provided umbrella and made provided eggos for breakfast when we woke up hungry! Next time we are in Charleston, we will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Location...Perfect Hosts...Perfect Vacation

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at the Anson house was the perfect retreat-vacation. Location was walkable to everything. The grocery at the end of street made it perfect for picking up the extras. The garden was a nice place to relax at the end of a walking tour around the city. We absolutely enjoyed our time and would go back in a heart beat.

Wonderful apartment in the French Quarter

  • 5 of 5
Loved this stylish little place and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with chilled Champagne a red rose and yummy dark chocolate. The furnishings were perfect and every thoughtful thing you would want was provided. It was great to be able to walk out to all the historic areas and restaurants. The grocery just across the street had anything else you might need. Charleston is a great town with much to see.

The Anson Garden House apartment is within easy walking of the shopping on Meeting and King Streets, and restaurants and art galleries in the historic district. It is 2 blocks from the Slave Market. The Anson was the kitchen house for the mansion during the last century, and has been beautifully restored into this perfect apartment. There is a separate garden for our guests, to enjoy quiet moments relaxing in this exquisite garden. The Anson is really close to all the restaurants and bars along North and South Market Streets that front on the Slave Market, as well as FIG on the corner of Meeting and Hasell. We highly recommend the Thoroughbred Bar in Charleston Place lobby. They have an incredible signature drink with cucumber vodka, lime, fresh basil and fresh mint and a splash of ginger beer for a refreshing way to enjoy a conversation in our wonderful city.

The Anson is also a close 1/2 block walk to the nearest grocery store, a convenience our guests also appreciate.
