Two couples stayed here for two nights during a summer rafting trip. We were welcomed with fresh eggs, fresh bread, and fruit from Cheri (the owner). The place was spotless and we were very impressed how well maintained she kept it. The kitchen has everything we needed and then some. The interior has beautiful wood finishes and comfortable furniture. We spent most of the time on the deck overlooking the mountains and grilling. The photos of this place do not do it justice. We will definitely be back! Thanks Cheri!
We stayed at this house this summer for our yearly 4-wheeling vacation. This house was more than I expected. The pictures definitely do not do it justice.
Cheri was a fabulous host. She had fresh bread and lots of fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. She was always available if we needed anything or had any questions.
There was plenty of room for our trailers and vehicles and lots of room to turn around.
I highly recommend this property and we hope to visit it again soon!!
Thank you Cheri for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home. The views out the windows were just spectacular of the mountains. The home was both warm and comfy. Cooking in the kitchen was delightful with everything we needed. The beds were very cozy too. Your land is wonderful to play on and the snow was fun. We loved the deck and the views. Waking up and sipping on our coffee with the views of the mountains slightly covered in clouds was so beautiful. Throughout the day the view changes, the clouds burn off and the skies clear and the sky becomes a magnificent blue. We enjoyed the quiet serene setting with Pinion Trees close by, the home on a bit of a hill and the closeness to hwys to get to Salida and Buena Vista. We also really enjoyed the wood stove at night and my hubby playing his guitar and visiting with family. You feel like you are in a dream and don't want to wake up. It was really sad the day we left. Thank you for keeping the roads clear for us and all the wonderful eggs and homemade bread and fruit. You are a gracious host. Hope we get to return soon.
I enjoyed this property very much. The house was pretty and very clean with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I had several guest over the summer and all were super impressed with the home. The deck is great for BBQ's, star gazing and just relaxing. The pasture and barn were perfect for the horses. I would stay again. Overall it was convenient to everything and a great place to come home to in the evenings.
I stayed at this rental approximately 6 weeks for the summer with my 2 horses and dog. The horse barn is great. The house is located very private and country convenient with access to many wonderful sightseeing destinations. Mt Princeton hot springs and spa is a quick and easy drive as well as many river rafting companies. The property is basically half way to Buena Vista or Salida so one can and shop and dine in either city. The views are spectacular, but the best part is how clean and pretty the inside of the home is. Great Place!
The house is great. Cheri was extremely helpful. We came to Salida for a family reunion. One night we cooked for the family and found everything in the kitchen we could ever need.
We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.
