Just what we needed

The house was clean and in good condition. The great room really is great, big with a nice view of Lake Charlevoix (convered in snow). The rooms were a good size and there are two sofa beds in the living room. It is bigger than it looks in the pictures, probably because it is hard to get landscape pictures. The boys liked playing the Atari video games.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Fabulous!

This home was fabulous! Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. The view of the lake from the front window was amazing. The photos in the listing and description were accurate. It was unusually hot for Northern Michigan. We contacted Greg, the owner, the day we arrived and he sent someone over to install window AC units. The washing machine, kitchen and bathroom supplies made the stay comfortable and functional. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend it to others. We highly recommend eating at the Thirsty Goat and Thick-N-Juicy. Wildwood Rush, Northern Michigan Zip Line Canopy Tour is amazing!

Very dissappointed

When we arrived the house had not been cleaned, beds were slept in and unmade, and there was animal feces on the front deck. The porch funiture, such as it was was filthy too. We paid a cleaning fee which the owner said would be refunded. It has now been four weeks and nothing. I emailed and asked again about the refund but have received no reply nor a check. The TV didn't work either. Also, a couple weeks prior to arriving I contacted the owner and asked about a grill. He assured me there was grill and the gas tank would be full. There was a grill but the tank was empty. So I had to go to a local gas station and purchase a new full tank for $47. I brought that home with me but it was an inconvenience. By itself, that would not have been a big deal but with everything else and not receiving a refund, I am very dissappointed

This place is a great location. It was very clean and close to everything in the area. Lots of space. Beautiful views of the lake. I would recommend this to others.

Bigger than it looks in photos

We rented this house for a ski weekend and it was fabulous. We had 5 couples and there was plenty of space for everyone. Nice big dining table! The bathrooms have both been redone and are very nice as well. It's nice and close to Boyne Mountain and really close to downtown Boyne City. The view of the lake was really nice too. The owner was also very helpful and nice with directions, info, etc. Thanks!
