STUNNING ROMAN VACATION

  • 5 of 5
My aunt, son and I got to truly experience a Roman holiday while staying at Filippo's beautiful flat! We were welcomed by Filippo with a fabulous tour of this well appointed flat and a bottle of red wine to start off our stay. We quickly threw open the doors to the balconies which are just as the pictures show-practically on top of the Trevi Fountain. We also were provided with wonderful espresso machine and espresso to have each morning during our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and we All slept like the dead each night of our stay. We found the sounds of the crowds at the fountain along with the sounds of the water to be soothing like the ocean. The neighborhood is lovely and we felt very safe here at all hours. If you are looking to feel like you live in Rome while you are visiting, this is your place!!!

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! COULD NOT BE BETTER!

  • 5 of 5
We had an amazing stay in this exquisite property! The hosts, Filippo and Marco were so friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble! Really wonderful people! The apartment is magnificent and the location is incredible! Less than a kilometre to walk to most of the great sites of Rome and an easy walk to the Subway to go to the Vatican. Great restaurants in the vicinity and only a stone's throw from the main street shopping precinct. First class experience!

AMAZING APARTMENT

  • 5 of 5
Our family of four just returned from a week at the Trevi View apartment. We have used VRBO many times before and this was by far our favorite home. The location is incredible (you wonder if you're on a movie set - the fountain is RIGHT THERE!) and the apartment is so well-appointed and comfortable. It's hard to find a bed that you sleep well in while traveling but we did here, and our children (ages 7 and 9) loved the loft area for reading and drawing. Filippo is a wonderful host and even had the apartment cleaned midway through our stay (which has never happened with another VRBO rental for us). The stairs were not a big deal; we were prepared for a harder climb. There is late-night noise from the revelers at the fountain, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping well. I would reserve this apartment again in a heartbeat.

IDEAL IIALY - CENTRAL ROME, WALK EVERYWHERE!

  • 5 of 5
We had an amazing week here. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well-equipped (hairdryer, clothes line on the back balcony, a bottle of wine, current guide books, some basics for cooking meals). The friendly and welcoming landlords (and their sweet little dog) live in the building. They reminded us more than once not to hesitate to contact them if we had any questions, problems, or needs. We had no problems, but we appreciated knowing they were nearby and happy to help.
The view is spectacular; no picture could do it justice. And, in the mornings, we basically had the Trevi to ourselves. It does get crowded in the evening, and we heard the occasional crowd roar when a couple got engaged or someone had a birthday. But, once the windows were closed for the night, we had no trouble sleeping. There’s a grocery store just down the road, and several good restaurants and gelato places nearby.
It’s a ideal central location for getting around Rome. We walked most places: St. Peter’s, the Borghese Gardens, the Forum area, Pantheon, National Museum, etc. We all felt the price was a great deal, too.
The only warning I’d give some travelers is that it is four floors up with no elevator. We figured it was a good way to work off the gelato we were eating.
We would definitely stay here again, just incredible all around.

TREVI IN YOUR LIVING ROOM

  • 5 of 5
Hello....stairs! I dont need to mention this - everyone else has already. Just have another gelato.
Wow! We stayed in this amazing apartment for 5 incredible nights in September 2013. What an experience to have arguably, Romes most famous landmark right outside your window. Every morning we would throw open the windows and listen to the fountain. We thought there might be noise, but there was not. With the windows closed it is absolutely quiet. When the windows are open, all you can hear is the fountain, not the crowd. I really enjoyed early morning before the tourists arrived and the men would be cleaning the fountain. For some reason I was fascinated by this process and would stand and watch the men clean the fountain. I took many pictures of this!
We enjoyed nothing more after a long day of sightseeing than standing on the balcony having a Strega, listening to the fountain and watching the tourists.
The owners arranged an airport pickup for us which was extremely welcome after a long flight in coach. The driver somehow picked us out of the crowd before we even noticed him! Wierd. Its not like we were wearing white gym shoes and jeans.
The listing and photos were absolutely accurate and true. The apartment was very clean and no malodor. We didnt cook, but the kitchen was equipped enough to do so if we had wanted, but this is Rome! No shortage of places to eat. We especially enjoyed the nearby Piccolo Arancio. There is a business card for it in the apt.
The main living area has several large windows which allow the aprtment to be very light. I was fascinated by the exposed wood beamed ceiling - something we dont see alot in California. There is a loft, but we never went up there after initial walk-through. No need, as there were only the 2 of us. There is no washer/dryer. This was not a problem for us and should not be expected in every home.
The owners lived right across the hall and were very sweet. My husband has spent alot of time in Rome and speaks Italian so we have a different experience that many travelers and dont require much help but its always nice to have owners nearby if there is a problem, but we had none. Filippo directed us to the nearby grocery that is deceivingly large with a below-ground wine/liquor department (they have Strega there).
I love staying here and will absolutely plan another trip around availability at this fine apartment.

ONCE IN A LIFE TIME.

  • 5 of 5
An amazing view from the spacious living room. This was a beautiful way to wake up, feather bed and the sounds of the Trevi fountain at your bedroom window. A pleasant helpful host, stocked kitchen with basic spices/oils, and comfortable living/dining room area. The walk up is worth the ambiance of the fountain.
