Photos and Description of the Fawnskin vacation house rental
House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 14)

This large, lakefront home (approx. 3,000 sf) is on the South side of Metcalf Bay on Big Bear Lake, about halfway between the dam and the Village. A three slip boat dock provides quick and easy access to the lake during the boating months. For our winter guests, Snow Summit is only four miles away. There is also a tubing park and cross country skiing near by. The house sits on a level lot, which is especially important during the winter for easy entry.

The master bedroom is located downstairs, with a king sized bed. The master bedroom looks out onto the lake and has a spacious bathroom that has a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub. A second bedroom is located downstaris with a queen sized bed and direct access to the hall bathroom. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, the other with two bunkbeds. The bunkbeds are both twin over full with a pullout trundle with another single bed underneath. Altogether you can put six kids in this room without anybody having to double up. The upstairs bedrooms share a hall bathroom featuring a claw foot tub as well as a shower.

The great room is comfortable and inviting and has a beautiful view of the lake. A pool table is there for your enjoyment, along with board games and puzzles for your use. The gas fireplace is easily started with the flip of a switch. The kitchen looks out over the great room to the lake and is fully stocked with just about everything you will need to prepare your meals. The dining table seats up to 10 people and there is a counter that has four stools.

There is an expansive deck that is an excellent place to sit and watch the wildlife and other action on the water. The sunken spa located on the deck just outside the master bedroom, offers a beautiful view of the lake. An adjacent covered side deck is a great place to have your family gather for meals, weather permitting. The table seats 10 and the gas grill is right there.

Go out the back door and walk out to the dock to get a better view of the lake, do some fishing, or take your boat out. Pleasure Point Marina and Holloway's Marina are close by for your boating needs, including boat rentals.

Having a busy, sometimes frantic life in Los Angeles, as well as travelling frequently for business, led us to seek out a vacation home where we could go to relax and unwind. Big Bear was perfect for us since it is an easy drive from the Valley, and can be enjoyed thoughout all four seasons.

Tom the owner was an absolute delight to do business with! He is extremely professional and everything worked out smoothly. The pictures dont do this beuatiful cabin justice. Its in a perfect location with plenty of room! The house was very cozy and comfortable. We will be coming back in the summer! Thanks Tom!

I had a total of 12 adults in my group and we all fit very comfortably. First, this home is amazing! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook meals, and plenty of space for everyone to eat. The main room has very high ceilings, it opens up the room a lot. The back deck was big enough to fit way more people than ever necessary, my group also utilized the backyard area and deck as a snowball fighting arena, very fun! The pool table was a great plus because it gave us something to do in our down time. Although we never used the hot tub, it looked as though it would have been very relaxing. I also want to say how incredible the view of the frozen lake was, the pictures do not do it justice. Overall my group had an amazing stay, we would all love to come back!

Fabulous Holiday Rental

We spent the 4th of July holiday at this beautiful home with our family who had come in from London for a visit. The view of the lake is amazing. We easily rented a boat for the day and using the private dock made that much more enjoyable. The house was clean and well maintained. Nicely decorated with plenty of room for a large group. We will definitely return again, oh and the fireworks show can easily be enjoyed from the large outdoor deck.
