Ketchum Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Ready to walk to the lifts for a day of skiing or hiking on Bald Mountain? Come enjoy all that Sun Valley and Ketchum have to offer from this restful 3 bedroom / 3 bath Warm Springs condo. You are two short blocks from the Warm Springs Lodge and lifts, and a very short free shuttle ride to the Wood River Valley YMCA, skate park, and all of Ketchum. At the end of an adventurous day, put your ski equipment or mountain bike away in the locked storage room just outside your front door. Hang your gear in the entry vestibule and come inside for a relaxing evening. Light a fire easily in the gas log Fireplace, enjoy a DVD after dinner, then ease your tired muscles in the Hot Tub & Sauna right across the parking area from your home-away-from-home. Sleep well in the peaceful quiet of Warm Springs.
The Views from this unit are delightful. Check out the ski conditions by simply opening your eyes in the morning and looking over to the Warm Springs runs from Master #1. Watch for the Warm Springs elk herd on the hills beyond from Master #2 and the twin guestroom. Bring your binoculars for some fun wildlife viewing right from your bed!
There are two Master bedrooms in the unit. The ski run views are from Master #1, which also has its own television and cable receiver. Master #2 can be entered separately from the entry vestibule, and also connects to the rest of the unit. It is a lockoff room and can be completely separated from the main part of the condo.
In the Living Room you will find an entertainment armoire with a flatscreen HDTV, cable receiver, DVD player, radio/CD player and VCR. Bring your favorite movies, rent locally, or play on demand from your Netflix account which communicates with the DVD player via wifi. Bring your own laptop and use our broadband WI-FI (password on modem in kitchen), or head down to the Y and use their bank of Apple computers. The gas log Fireplace is a snap to light, and the key and matches are in the armoire, out of reach of small children.
The kitchen has just about every gadget you could need to whip up a meal - it's like Christmas every time you open a cabinet or drawer! The range has an easy-to-clean ceramic cooking surface that handles any size cookware. The icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and microwave are convenient. Frequent buyer discount cards for Atkinson's Market (Ketchum) and Albertson's supermarket (Hailey) are in a drawer for your savings. The dining table seats up to 10 if you pull out both leaves, which easily slide back under the tabletop, but the area is best suited for 4-6 people. There are plenty of linens for the table, baths and bedrooms, as well.
The layout of the condo is very efficient and features a great deal of storage space. Each bedroom has its own bath with tub/shower combo and at least one vanity. The Laundry room has lots of storage space, as does the linen storage room in the lockoff Master #2.

We are a family of four from Florida. We are very active people and love sports and the arts. Tennis, soccer, skiing, skating, swimming, canoeing, track, and distance running keep us in shape. We love to go to our college football games and to have extended family over for holidays. Several of us play piano, clarinet and/or love to read, paint or tickle each other. We have a cat Pyrite, a Rottie pup Major, a leopard gecko Sunny, and are fostering two orphaned squirrels until they're big enough to go out on their own.
Our family has been visiting Ketchum / Sun Valley since 2000, and fell in love with it at first sight. We have family living here, and have come to visit nearly every year. Our children learned to ski on Dollar, and now have us chasing them down Baldy! After years of fun skiing. snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ice skating, one visit to the amazing (and reasonable) YMCA in Ketchum pushed us over the edge. The rock-climbing wall with endless routes, beach-entry pool with multistory waterslides and lazy river, steam room, excellent gym, exercise classes, and bank of Macs in the lobby was too good to miss. Ski conditions have always been fantastic, cultural and culinary delights are in abundance, but the Y was the icing on the cake. This year we came for a summer visit for the first time, and are so happy we did. We took the free shuttle at the corner (almost in view from our balcony), rode down the street and got off at the Y for a few hours of fun in the pool and rock gym. Highlights of summer fun in and around Ketchum include mountain biking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding at Redfish Lake, outdoor ice skating (yes, even in the summer), hiking around Galena Lodge, exploring Craters of the Moon, picnic dinners on the lawn while listening to the philharmonic (admission: $0!), shopping, dinners out, and more. We ended most days with an after dinner walk around the corner to Warm Springs Lodge and some hiking on Baldy's fire roads. Sun Valley is an inspiring and beautiful place in any season.
