Luxurious & Romantic...: Upon your arrival you will be greeted by two free aquarium passes and a basket of local information. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, plush spa bathrobes, and oversized towels, and beach gear.
The house is just minutes from downtown Pacific Grove with all its charming shops and restaurants and the famed Monterey Bay Aquarium. Across the street is the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail that goes from Asilomar beach along the rocky coastline all the way to Cannery Row. A beautiful undiscovered municipal golf course is nearby. Monterey and Carmel are only 5 to10 minutes away by car.
Spacious and Comfortable...: The spacious living room features a pitched ceiling with wood beams, wall-to-wall carpeting and floor-to-ceiling glass on two walls interrupted only by a gas fireplace set in fossil stone. Built-in shelving creates an entertainment center holding a flat-screen LCD-HDTV with Blue-Ray DVD player, a library of books, magazines, games and DVDs. A glass table and chairs situated in the corner where two windows meet allow for casual dining or game playing while watching soaring sea birds, sailboats on the bay and ever-changing light and cloud patterns. Furnishings include a white couch/chaise, end tables and a coffee table with a driftwood finish. Sliding glass doors in the living room lead to a deck facing the bay that is equipped with a bistro table and chairs so that you can enjoy coffee with the morning and cocktails at sunset.
Beautiful remodeled kitchen and more...: Gourmet cooks will be thrilled with the bright, completely remodeled kitchen with its tile floor, fresh white cabinets with stainless steel pulls, granite counter tops and top-quality stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and gas stove. The house is fully stocked with dishes and all the accouterments for entertaining in the adjacent dining room that features a wooden table with driftwood finish and white legs, upholstered chairs and modern brushed nickel light fixture. In fact, light fixtures throughout the house are brushed nickel. The wind-protected atrium is equipped with a gas light Weber Kettle charcoal grill and table and chairs if you prefer to cook and/or dine in the fresh air among the beautiful flowering potted plants.
Landscaped with flowering shrubs and native plants, the house has an enclosed back yard perfect for pets. A front-loading washer and dryer are located in the single-car garage. Additional parking in driveway & on the street.
I LOVE to sit in the warmth of this front room with the gas fireplace or sunlight from the atrium and use my binoculars to search for dolphins, whales, sea lions and sea otters. You can not beat the location of this home or the comfort of the beds! There is ample parking and anything you need to cook with and a spacious dining area for our group. Two free aquarium passes that can be used daily come with this rental and we took daily walks on the shoreline path located steps across the street. I would recommend to all future guests to pack a lunch and drive your group to the Point Lobos Park Reserve (about 40 min drive) and hike the easy shoreline trials. Bring your binoculars, camera and coat! We definitely plan on returning.
We absolutely loved our stay at Siren Song and look forward to retuning. The house is set up very nice for a family, we took our 4 college age kids with us. I didn't bring our dogs this trip but I would feel confident in taking them next time now knowing the set up first hand. The views out the living room are breathtaking. This is surely one of the best vantage points on Pacific Grove. We spotted whale, dolphins and otters (otters every morning) just from looking out the windows. The house was very clean and well decorated. We will return!
Great home in a SUPER location with BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. It was much more than we expected and we had a wonderful time. Hope to return next year,
We had a wonderful time! The house is very comfortable and we felt at home immediately. The views are amazing. We sat on the front porch every day. Without leaving the porch we saw whales, schools of dolphins, seals, otters and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's also very convenient to the local sights, restaurants and activities. Great time, we hope to stay again!
Our stay at Siren Song was relaxing and one of the most spectacular views we have ever seen! The home was exactly how it was described and portrayed in the pictures, but better! It was clean, up to date and had everything we needed. It truly felt like home. The property mangers provided excellent customer service. We enjoyed walking on the beach path every day and eating out in Monterey and Carmel. The Monterey Aquarium was a short drive and so much fun for our whole family. We highly recommend this property and plan to come back every year!
On our way in, we called the rental manager and she met us right after we pulled up to the house. She let us in and gave us the grand tour, explaining all of the amenities and the layout of the house. It was tough paying attention to this because we kept staring out the windows into Monterey Bay. It was a beautiful day and the views are just amazing.
The house is fully equipped with everything you would need, including binoculars (I forgot mine) for watching the whales, dolphins, sea otters, and seals from the living room. This was fantastic! The beds in each room were set up as kings and were very comfortable. The home is well decorated and perfect for stay at home meals.
The house also comes with two passes for the aquarium. This is very nice because it is $40.00 each for entrance.
The location on the bay is just perfect. You can walk across the street, and walk for miles either way on the path that parallels the bay. We had a spectacular sunset the first night on our hike west, towards the golf course and lighthouse. The hike towards the aquarium is just as fantastic. The weather was spectacular which really showed off the glories of the bay. We were very lucky.
If you are headed to Monterey/Pacific Grove/Carmel with a group or family, this is the way to go.... you will not be disappointed.
