PRIVATE, WATERFRONT CABIN WITH DOCK AND BOAT RAMP

As a very regular user of VRBO, I can honestly say that this was one of our favorites in Steinhatchee! The house is nothing fancy, but the outside amenities are fantastic for people that have a small boat and fish. We loved being able to hoist our boat out of the water in the covered boathouse and then cleaning our catch in the screened in fish cleaning station! And having a private ramp was pretty nice too! We enjoyed a bonfire both nights and ate all of our meals inside the screened in porch over looking the creek.

Vanessa was wonderful to work with and very flexible concerning check in and out times which enabled us to make the most out of our stay. We will be back soon!

We went to Rocky Creek for Labor Day weekend for a family reunion. Most of my extended family stayed in Steinhatchee, but I had decided to stay at the creek due to the affordability. I brought 6 people with me, 4 adults and two children ages 10 and 12. Houses in town were much more expensive. I'm so glad we decided on this Rocky Creek cabin! It was the highlight of the reunion! The property has so much to offer, bon fire pit, horse shoe pit, fishing docks, kayaking, canoeing, barbeque area, and a neighboring cabin with a walk way in between that housed more of my family members. Needless to say... after the day spent on the gulf scalloping with the family, everyone came back to the Rocky Creek property for a cook out. They all were happily surprised by the cabin and the property - as well as the neighboring cabin, which also had a screened boat house and dock, fire pit and horse shoe pit! I'm almost sorry I brought everyone over to Rocky Creek for the cookout... now it's going to be an argument over who gets to rent the cabin for the next reunion! Haha! I'll just have to be sure to book it far in advance so I get first dibs!!! If you're renting this cabin - you are going to have a nice, peaceful, relaxing vacation with many amenities for your enjoyment. I'll definitely be coming back!!!

We stayed for a month, and wish we could start over! We had a great time fishing and enjoying the wildlife from the screened in porch. Debby sent us home a few days early, but the time spent at this hideaway was exactly what my little family needed. We came home ready to take on the rest of the year. We would definitely like to go back to this clean, relaxing retreat. The owner was very helpful and furnished us with all the information needed for safety while boating and fishing. She even contacted us when Debby was heading our way to make sure we were ok. Thanks for a vacation of memories!
