Ladies - while the guys are fishing or golfing, how about a shopping trip to the St. Augustine Prime Outlet malls? After shopping, enjoy the afternoon in historic St. Augustine, only 36 country miles away. Be sure to tour the Castillo de San Marcos, which dates back to 1695. Stroll around the old shoppes downtown, or travel over the Bridge of Lions to beautiful Anastasia Island beach. On Sundays, be ready for an afternoon of BINGO at the community's clubhouse.
Nearby Palatka offers a full range of shopping and dining. On the way, make sure to stop by Corkie Bells Restaurant for some fantastic classic-Florida-style seafood on the river. Plan on visiting Ravine Gardens State Park during Azalea season, perhaps enjoying a picnic on the grounds. Another must-do is a stop at Angels Drive-In Diner, billed as Florida's oldest and dating back to 1932.
Like Wine? The area boasts two wineries, the Log Cabin Farm, Vineyard & Winery in Satsuma, and San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine.
