Come to our Powder Mountain condo and relax in a warm and comfortable setting after exhausting yourself on the slopes. Powder Mountain has been featured in major ski magazines every year as a popular destination resort; but it remains a sleepy resort that locals and loyals try to keep secret. About 1 1/2 hrs. from the SLC airport, it seems a world away from the rat race.

Look out our living room window to the Sundown lift, where you can gain access to the rest of the ski resort. Our condo is in a small unit, only 8 units in all; which makes it more quiet than most.

About Kim and Roger Arave

We have been residents of the beautiful Ogden Valley for 24 years and still love it! Powder Mountain is the ski resort that we are loyal to and we rarely ski anywhere else. Our three daughters fill our lives with all their activities and we are busy with skiing, sports like soccer, softball, volleyball and horsebackriding.

Roger happens to be an integral part of Powder Mtn., as Director of Mountain Operations. Kim as an ICU nurse in an Ogden hospital. We love animals and have a dog, cats, chickens, horses, a salt-water aquarium and a turtle. Our other love is to travel, and we would love to trade our rental for yours.

Why Kim and Roger Arave chose Powder Mountain

Though we live close to Powder Mountain, we and our kids love going up for a little vacation. We bought this condo for our own enjoyment as much as the enjoyment of others.

What makes this condo unique

The benefits are obvious in the winter, but we also love coming to Sundown condos in the spring and summer when the wildflowers are in full bloom and the temperature is 10 to 20 degrees cooler than in Ogden

Powder Mountain is fairly secluded, not built up like many ski resort towns; therefore, for restaurants and other 'entertainment', you have to drive 15min. down to Eden or 40 minutes to Ogden. Otherwise, just enjoy the solitude of the mountain. Powder Mountain offers snowcat skiing and evening snowcat tours that are awesome.

Notes:
Our condo has new living room furniture, log accents, brand-new flat-screen TV's and wireless Internet capability. There is a phone, but no long-distance and so far, only Nextel has reliable cell-phone service. So you need a long-distance calling card to make calls. One bedroom has queen-sized bed with attached bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Powder Mountain has unbeatable powder skiing and lots of backcountry terrain. Our condo is located across the street from the Sundown lift, which is also the night-skiing area; open till 9:00 p.m. See Powder Mountain Resort web-site.
