Everything about this apartment is top of the line, first class and immaculately clean. It is new construction and designed by Manual Glas, a leading New York architect. Two master bedrooms feature private en-suite bathrooms with new designer linens and towels. Beds and mattresses (king size) are new as is all furniture, floor coverings and accessories.
Kitchen is all new Miele appliances and designer decorated. Perfect for private dining or entertaining.
There is a large and completely private paved terrace directly located outside kitchen/living room and at that level. The 650 square foot terrace offers new, all weather upholstered Gloster furniture, dining seating for 6 at an antique, in-laid Roman table, and a professional landscape. Matching water fountains and lights add a sense of tranquility and peace to the setting.
While the location is quiet and tree lined, we are one block from the 4, 5, 6 ( ''The Lex'' Subway in New York parlance) and cross town bus lines.
This is an extremely convenient location to all of Manhattan.. Up, Down, East or West.
We rent only to responsible guests who want the best of New York in a quiet, quality environment. Accordingly, we do ask our guests to provide a description of themselves and their party in terms of age, profession and backgrounds. No pets. No young children. No smoking. Minimum four nights.
Our check-in hour is 3PM and check out is 11AM, although we are flexible on both when circumstances permit. Please check our calendar for availability. It is always up to date.
A great home starts with a great owner, and that is what Livingston is. He makes you feel as if you are dealing with a good friend. I highly recomend staying at his property. As for the unit, there is not much else I have to say that has not been said in the other reviews. It is a great place to enjoy a relaxing NY experience!
I like luxury and my husband does not do lifts (elevators), so finding a place to stay for a week in New York with plenty of room to relax in was a bit of a challenge. This apartment was perfect for us. It was very spacious and luxurious and beautifully decorated and I loved the marble bathrooms. The photos do really prepare you for the sense of space and calm you get when you enter. There was no noise at all. It was a real pleasure to meet Livingston and have a chat, it really gave a personal touch to our stay, and he directed us to a great Italian restaurant. In fact, we could not go wrong with the food in this part of New York, everything we tried was delicious, and some of it great value for money too.
New York City is a busy place, and that's the attraction. But when you're ready to relax in your own quiet oasis, this is an excellent choice. Comfortable and well appointed with plenty of great restaurants nearby. All the great reviews that drew us here were confirmed. Thanks Livingston.
Many Thanks to the very gracious host, Livingston, for sharing this amazing property with us! The location, amenities and ambiance of this home are unrivaled. All the reviews are accurate--this is an extremely quiet oasis in the city, yet one of the most convenient locations to walking destinations or transportation you could find. We were constantly amazed at the abundance of available cabs right outside the door, even on a rainy Friday evening! No detail has been overlooked in the appointments or cleanliness of this incredibly beautiful space. The terrace--which looks too good to be true--is actually every bit of the gorgeous haven it appears to be in the pictures! The split suite layout is fantastic for two couples or families, and again, I will reiterate that it is remarkably quiet in this heavenly apartment. We appreciated that there is a wonderful grocery two blocks away so that we purchase what we wanted for a leisurely breakfast in the mornings. Several evenings we walked to one of many great and conveniently located restaurants in the Gramercy Park area, and on occasion, took a brisk morning walk for exercise down to the village and back. Not only would we recommend this property to friends or relatives, but we do hope to return ourselves. Livingston is a most accommodating host; he has created a perfectly safe, comfortable and extremely elegant spot for appreciative visitors. Thank you again for your hospitality.
This is an excellent property in a very central location of Manhatten. The apartment is very modern, well amenitized, and has ample room for a comfortable Manhatten stay. The quality and size of the apartment relative to staying in a hotel is completely unmatched!!!! Further, the owner went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. He was very attentive and available for any questions, etc. The pictures, descriptions of the property very accurately depicted the actual property. I've stayed in many VRBO rented properties throughout the US this is definately among the best!!!!! Five Stars!!!!!
As I had come to New York for surgery this apartment truly offered a haven for my recovery and Livingston could not have been more accommodating.
The apartment is in a great location, with restaurants, deli's and grocery stores mere minutes away. It's easy to grab a cab at any time day or night from in front of the apartment building, and the neighborhood is great.
Having been to New York previously and stayed in a hotel a few blocks away I was impressed at how quiet it was inside the apartment. The apartment is beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and with all the comforts of home. The outdoor patio is a bonus for New York and a great place to sit and enjoy breakfast or just read a book.
I have already recommended this apartment to all my friends and have to say it is even better than the photos portray.
