About Brian & Carla Safigan
We currently live in Colorado Springs and consider ourselves to be outdoor enthusiasts. Although we live in the shadow of Pike's Peak and the Rocky Mountains, the Adirondacks remain our favorite place on Earth.
Brian & Carla Safigan purchased this cottage in 2005
Why Brian & Carla Safigan chose Rainbow Lake
We purchased Lazy Days Lodge in 2005 when we lived in Northern Virginia. The tranquil and slow-paced lifestyle was a welcome retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Whether canoeing on the lake, swimming, climbing a mountain, or just listening to the loons from the front porch, Lazy Days Lodge is our way of reconnecting with our family and friends.
What makes this cottage unique
Lazy Days Lodge has it all. Situated on private Rainbow Lake, boats are limited to local residents and the opposite side of the lake is park-owned for uninterrupted mountain views. We have a dock for your own boat if you wish to bring one, a sandy beach on a protected cove perfect for small kids and boating, and a swim platform. The view is of the widest part of Rainbow Lake and the cove is a favorite fishing spot for loons. A snowmobile trail goes right behind the lodge, which connects to the complete Adirondack trail system. One of my favorite memories is watching a mommy loon teach her babies how to fish in our own private cove.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Day Lodge. The beach was wonderful. The water was crisp. The sunset were beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on back porch, enjoy adult beverages and listening to the loons. The set up was perfect for our large group with children. The lakeside lean-to and fire pit were perfect for smores. We would highly highly recommend this site. We are considering a return trip.
