3 Bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Single Family Home - walk to shops and restaurants

Kid friendly and dog friendly, The Hideaway is literally tucked in a Downtown Old Town Fort Collins residential neighborhood for your quiet enjoyment yet a 3 block walk to shops and restaurants. This Single Family Home is set on a small, fenced lot with outdoor living on the front porch and patio with gas grill. A newer home in an older neighborhood, The Hideaway was built in 2001 on a mature lot allowing the foliage to give a feeling of privacy in a quiet setting.

Inside, the main floor has a master bedroom with a gas fireplace, queen bed, and full en-suite master bathroom with 2 sinks. The gas fireplace can also be enjoyed from the living area which includes an open concept eating area, breakfast bar and kitchen - fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There is also a powder room and laundry on main.

The lower level with daylight windows has a second living area, 3/4 bathroom, and two bedrooms (one queen/twin trundle).

This home is all about location, location, location. Across the street is a public library with a playground. A three block walk takes you to the heart of Old Town, Old Town Square, where you can enjoy all the stores and restaurants Old Town has to offer and borrow a bike from the Fort Collins Bike Library in the summertime. The Hideaway has easy access to local micro breweries, the Poudre River trail system and local events.

We live in Old Town ourselves and absolutely love the walkability factor. Aside from work, family and house projects, we keep busy walking the dogs, going for runs, eating at local establishments and checking out local festivals.

Lisa purchased this house in 2011

It's great to have the option of owning a newer property in Old Town - great for less maintenance as a rental - and a possible future retirement home for us.

The Hideaway is a newer home (2001) in an old part of town. It has a wonderful cottage feel and is great for romantic or girls getaways. The master bedroom fireplace is a favorite.

We stayed in this charming little house for 5 weeks and were delighted with it, top to bottom and front to back! We were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the house was - from espresso maker, crock pot, blender and staples in the kitchen to toys and games in the lower level, an unending supply of linens to just about every homey touch you can imagine. We walked to Old Town just about every day, enjoying the wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops it offers. You couldn't ask for a better accommodation.

I rented the hideaway for a mountain biking trip with 3 friends. It was great- easy walking distance to the heart of downtown, but the immediate neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The house itself is as-pictured and as-described on VRBO, and it had everything we needed in terms of ammenities. Lisa was very straightforward and easy to deal with, and we got our security deposit back the next day. I would definitely go back here again.

We had a wonderful visit with my son, his wife and our fifteen month old granddaughter. We don't see then often so staying in a house where we could easily entertain them was very important to my husband, our daughter and my two other teenage granddaughters. We loved the location as it was easy to walk to Old Town to shop or go to the restuarants. We had another bonus as the Pro Bikers raced right past our house. It was very exciting! The off street parking was great and the house lived up to it's pictures and was well equipped even to toys and games for the kids. We barbecued and used the garden table a lot.
Lisa was great and the high chair for the baby was icing on the cake. We look forward to coming back.

Very lovely stay

My husband and I, and our two little girls stayed in the Hideaway the first week of July. We lucked out when we found this little house because it is truly a gem in the middle of Old Town. The location can't be beat. It is exactly as the description says, 3 blocks from Old Town and right around the corner from a little park and library. My girls and I went to the library park every single day. There were a few days when my husband needed to leave for work appointments and I was left without a car, this wasn't even an issue because I could pop the girls in the stroller and play at the park and grab lunch in Old Town without a second thought, it is really that close.

The house itself is very nice. Nestled into a little spot that makes you feel further away from the action than you really are. We loved using the outdoor patio in the mornings and sitting out there to eat breakfast. The kitchen is well stocked with a coffee maker, pots and pans and kids cups, really whatever you might need to use at home to make meals. The linens were very nice, which is important to me because I was already away from home and my own bed but I slept very comfortably. My only concern was the stairs but there was a gate for the stairs that I could use to block the girls from trying to go down without my help.She also had a highchair for my littlest girl, this was a big help at meal time. Lastly the washer and dryer allowed me to go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes, bonus.

Lisa is very easy to work with and accomadating. You can tell when you visit the Hideaway that it is a very well cared for property. I will definitely stay here again! Thanks Lisa!

We enjoyed are stay at "The Hideaway" tremendously. Your home is so bright and comfortable for our family of six. It was truly "Home away from Home'. We walked into downtown daily for the good food and music. The yard, porch, and patio make your place so charming. We will definitely stay here again on future visits.
