Overview

Boston Condo Rental Photos and Description

1 bedroom, 1 bath, sleeps 4 (full size sofa bed). In the heart of everythin

Boston is a beautiful, historical walking city - if you stay in the North End which is the focal point of all the Sights & Activities that every visitor to Boston wants to see. By staying in the North End you can enjoy ALL YOUR TIME in Boston instead of getting stuck trying to get to the attractions - waiting for over-crowded subways or taxis stuck in traffic. In the Historic North End (Little Italy) there are no hotels, so the only way to stay in the nicest part of town is to stay in a private home. Apartments in this area are generally quite small, but you will find this apartment large enough to be comfortable for 4.

This apartment is a few doors down from Paul Revere's House & the Freedom Trail & the Old North Church. In the Heart of the old Italian district, you are surrounded by many of the best restuarants in the city.

Fanueil Hall is across the street, this property is on the new Greenway (created by the Big Dig), and is three blocks from the Aquarium and Whale Watch Tours. This apartment is 4 blocks from the Celtics & Bruins at Boston Garden. You can walk thru Fanueil Hall to get to Beacon Hill and the Swan Boats on the Boston Public Garden... or take advantage of 4 different subway stops to get to Fenway, the Museums or Harvard Square

If the dates you want are unavailable, we have a couple other beautiful apartments that are also in the North End - so you can likely stay among our apartments and remain in the nicest, most historical, most interesting & convenient part of the city.

1 bedroom condo. Sleeps 4: 1 queen size bed for 2 people. A queen size sofa bed for 2 more people.

Our unit has (bathroom, kitchen, living room, separate bedroom) It has all the appliances and features you will need in the in kitchen ( coffee maker, oven, microwave, refrigerator). Plasma TV and High Speed WiFi internet.

This unit is a few blocks from the Financial District ( making it ideal for business trips)

Note: If this unit is not available, please contact us, we have other units that might be available to accommodate you.

Note: We are in the HEART of the CITY ( Boston), so obviously you could expect as in any main city major city some noise associated with traffic, tourists, etc. and other noise that can't be controlled us. We can't be accountable or responsible for noise or disturbance from circumstance happening outside our unit or in the streets.

If you are choosing staying in the heart, most accessible, most historic and fun part of Boston, then THIS is your place.

(Contact owner for information about additional rental units)

About Mark & Caroline

Mark & Caroline love to Travel and first started renting apartments for vacations in Europe. With this property, an opportunity arose for us to offer the same kind of great experience to other travellers that we always experience when we rent vacation apartments around the US and the rest of the world

Mark & Caroline purchased this condo in 2012

Why Mark & Caroline chose Boston

For us the North End of Boston is like taking a vacation in Europe. Since we live in an historic town outside of Boston called Lexington, and we have busy careers - we don't get to go to Europe as often as we would like. Caroline often says when she needs a get-away to renew herself and get the feeling that she has been away on a trip, she will often go and spend the day in the North End - and feel like she has been travelling abroad

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you, this place is perfectly placed for our needs. If I plan better next year, I hope for a longer stay with you. Cheers

Location, location, location!

This apartment is a real gem. Conveniently located, we enjoyed the ease in which we could enjoy Boston. Within walking distance are many restaurants, bakeries, markets; the list goes on and on. The apartment is just as it is advertised. No surprises. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you to the owners for helping to make our 25th wedding anniversary an event to remember and cherish.

Great location

  • 4 of 5
This condo is in a great location for tourist attractions with many good restaurants, grocery and transportation nearby (some of the best bakeries we have ever been to are within walking distance). The airport is close and the taxi ride not too expensive from there. We rented a car after our stay at an Enterprise at "Government center" which was close enough to walk to or Enterprise will come and pick you up. The owners communicated very well, were very helpful and made us feel welcomed. The unit was very clean. We thought the bed was uncomfortable but when we mentioned it to the owners afterwards, they said they have never received any complaints about it. Someone must have been smoking in the stairwell courtyard (located outside in the center of the building) and the smell was quite strong, especially in the bedroom. We were not there much as we were tourists so it didn't bother us too much but if you are really affected by cigarette smoke, it could be a problem. We would recommend this place for its convenience to accessing tourist destinations, trolley stops, subway, etc. and for its cleanliness and ease of interaction with the owners.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. Our bed is a queen size and we have many guests staying and using the bed and had not issues with the bed ( including us and we never had a problem with it either), but we understand that different people have different needs or taste in terms of comfort specially for beds. We also don't allow smoking in the apartment or in the building, it's unfortunately that when these guests stayed at the apartment there were construction workers on the other side of the building ( not in ours or in the internal patio) and the smell would come into the building, It's one of those situations that we don't have control over what happens outside our unit or outside the building. We never have or had any complaints on smoking issues in the apartment, but circumstances like that could happen obviously since we are located in the city. We try to provide the best service within our possibilities and are always responsive to issues that might arise when guests are in the apartment. We can resolve or address anything once people leave the place. We are always happy to address whatever comments they report to us just to make people comfortable while they are there. Unfortunately, we receive the comments once these guests left the apartment.

Best location for visiting Boston

  • 5 of 5
If you're visiting Boston and want to stay in the ideal location, this is it. So many of the sights everyone wants to see are literally minutes away on foot. And if what you want to see is too far to walk, there are subway stops (Blue, Green and Orange lines) nearby. As for dining, this is in the heart of the Little Italy neighborhood, so you have endless choices of first-rate restaurants, some just a few steps from your door. The apartment was tasteful, comfortable and clean. Space in the bathroom is pretty tight, but we managed. Bed in bedroom was fine for two adults, but two adults may find the sofa bed inadequate. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and our host was very accommodating with our early arrival, which was much appreciated. A great experience!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Yes, location of this apartment offers many great advantages such as the access to many restaurants, cafes, parks, public transportation and the most of the historic sites just steps away from the apartment.
We do have a sofa bed for 2 people ( as an extra bed) but we also specify we prefer to have 2 children or 1 adult and 1 child on that sofa bed. Bearing in mind that a sofa bed is just for a short term stay. it's a sofa bed so the comfort of a regular bed is not really expected. We offer the sofa bed always to people specially to families when they have an specific budget and prefer not to spend the regular prices that expensive hotels in this part of Boston ask. We offer the comfort of an apartment with a separate bedroom, a full kitchen, a bathroom, living room with prices much more affordable than a regular hotel room and in one of the best locations.

Best trip to Boston yet!

  • 5 of 5
I am so happy that we found this apartment! We have stayed in Boston various times, but always in a hotel. Staying in an apartment in the North End was the best experience we have ever had. We could walk everywhere and see everything. The apartment was just the right size for two adults and two preteen boys. And having a kitchen was so helpful when trying to not spend so much money on food. The apartment was clean and in good condition. It was quiet even on a Friday night when the North End was hopping with crowds of people roaming around. We felt safe and got to know the neighborhood pretty quickly. The owners were very helpful and flexible about our check in time since we drove 12 hours to get to Boston. We will definitely be using this apartment again when we visit Boston. I have to say that we were spoiled by having such great amazing food, activities and history so close. We definitely will miss our nightly walk to Mike's for dessert!

Cute place, perfect location

  • 4 of 5
This was my first time using vacationrentals.com. I was in Boston for a family event that was to take place in Martha's Vineyard; we wanted to come early and play in Boston first. This is a small but well appointed apartment in the heart of the North End. The best things about this apartment are:
- location. It's just off Salem Street so close to everything, but on a quiet side street, so no noise or traffic problems
- fully stocked with amenities in the bathroom, nice soft towels, plenty of soap
- kitchen very well equipped for a vacation rental, including coffee maker and wine glasses, as well as dishwashing soap
- fold out couch; we weren't sure if our adult son would join us, so we wanted this just in case
- living room is good sized for 2 or 3 to hang out in
- the apartment was absolutely spotless
- Mark and Caroline (owners) were very helpful and easy to deal with. Caroline sent us directions and info that we needed in advance of our arrival, which was great.

Not much on the downside but, there is construction going on next door. What used to be an apartment upstairs is being gutted and the downstairs space is a restaurant being remodeled. Not sure what time you can start working in Boston, but the construction started at 7am on Monday and Tuesday. My guess is that it wasn't supposed to be that early. Depending on when you plan to stay, you may want to check to be sure they are done with the work. Oh, and I would have liked a dresser in the bedroom so we could unpack; there is only a closet.

Other than that, we really enjoyed the apartment. I've been to Boston many times, and this is easy walking distance to tons of things you want to do as a tourist, as well as a T stop and lots of great restaurants.

Owner's Response: Thank you
You were great guests as well. Left the place in great conditions and we were very pleased to deal with you too.
We are sorry about the construction that was taken place, unfortunately we had no control over that building that is at the corner of the street ( it's a restaurant building a second floor) and it's Boston so The City allows them to start at 7 a.m. and we can't refute the City. In any case there is going to be some noise around sometimes since we are in the Heart of Boston closer to all the sites, restaurants, shops, parks, tourists sites, water park and the public transportation.
