This wonderful, quiet little cabin is tucked in behind your hosts’ home. Although there are other homes around the cabin you will enjoy the feel of being in the country. The trees surrounding the house are plentiful and the outdoor picnic area is perfect for enjoying nature.
Inside is a large open living room and kitchen offering hill country decor. The living room has a comfy leather sofa (also a sleeper bed) and over sized chair—both are placed to enjoy the cable television. A fully equipped kitchen is large and perfect for those quiet evenings when you just want to stay in! The kitchen has a large refrigerator, range/oven and microwave. There is also a wonderful wood table that seats four.
A queen sleigh bed is in the bedroom topped with a coverlet and decorative pillows. Two wicker chairs and a table are found in the bedroom for that quiet reading time. The bath has a shower. Adjacent to the bathroom is laundry room complete with a washer and dryer.
A wonderful highlight of this home is the screened porch just outside the living room. Enjoy nature in all seasons at the table for four. It is inviting and waiting for your arrival.

We have lived in the Hill Country for seven years and really enjoy all the beauty and wildlife. I am retired which allows me to take care of the rental and get in a game of golf every now & then. My wife had the opportunity to transfer here with her job which opened the door for us to move here. We hope you enjoy this beautiful area as much as we do.
For several summers we helped our local lions club transport kids in need to the Kerrville Lions Club Camp. We often talked about how we would like to retire here and with my wife getting the chance to relocate here with her job our dream was answered.
We enjoy being a short drive to Kerrville and many great restuarants, museums, live plays, golf and much more.
Adventures: Great Hill Country get away for me and my wife.
Restaurants: Cooked meals in cabin.
Thoughts to share: Loved your cabin. Thanks!
We stayed here again for the 2nd time at the Dubl-C Guest House and will again in the near future. It was so good to meet the owners. Even though they are close by, you would never know. Again, this house was so clean and provides all the new necessaries (not grandma's hand me downs as other places) you would need. This house is quite, peaceful and so comfortable. Even through we have only stayed here in the winter, it is very warm and cozy. You will not be disappointed staying here, although we would like to keep it a secret for future stays.
We were out to look for property in the area during Christmas so this was extremely convenient. It was very private, quiet and peaceful. We were so surprised when we arrived at the Dubl-C Guest House as it was tastefully decorated for Christmas, making us feel at home. It was very clean and smelled great! We enjoyed seeing the deer in the neighborhood and yard. We have stayed at many guest houses over the years and this has been the best! Most of the houses are dated but this one is top of the line! The house was very clean with every amenity you would need. It was warm cozy and had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with great quality dishes, silverware, posts and pans and appliances. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, nice linens, along with a bathroom stocked with quality towels. The living room furniture was very comfortable and decorated very nice. We were unable to get the 3rd night free but enjoyed the 2 nights stay. The owners did a wonderful job with this house and we will book ahead again.
This was our third stay at the Dubl-C Guest House and we loved it! It has become our home away from home. Our trips to the Hill Country have always been magical and the Dubl-C is definitely part of that magic!
We were unfamiliar with the area so we did quite an extensive study of our options before finding Dubl-C Guest House…and what a wonderful find! It's amazingly clean, spacious and well-organized and while we had to leave early each morning and weren't able to return until after dark, we got to enjoy the wandering deer at sunrise and a blazing gas fire each night. The owners couldn't have been more cordial and while we had complete privacy, should we have needed anything, it was reassuring to know they were close by. Finding out about the third night being free was an added bonus. It is a real pleasure to be able to write this 5-star review and, should we return to the area, we will certainly hope to stay at the Dubl-C Guest House.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Dubl. C. This was an excellent get away........ very peacfull.
We enjoyed watching the deer feed, and lay around the house with no worries. We were able to witness two small bucks fighting for a doe (I have never seen it live).
The house was very clean, nicely furnished, y'all have thought of everything. Very nice touch with the snacks, soft drinks, milk ,juice, and wine.
The only draw back was we had to leave to get back to the rat race.
We hope the small token of our appreciation shows how much we loved the place.
We will be return customers
This was our second year to stay at the Dubl-C and it was as good as we remembered it...a spacious one bedroom cabin, clean, well furnished, cool, surrounded by hill country deer, and just a couple of minutes from the river. Our two teenage girls shared the fold out couch and said it was a little lumpy was the only complaint. Bedroom was very comfortable. Loved the kitchen. I'm sure we'd stay there again.
