Hi , my name is Lisa , I was born in Los Angeles but lived most of my life in Rome. I love both countries and I am very lucky to be able to spend some time in the US, when I want.I like meeting people from other countries and share with them all the wonderful beauties of Rome. I hope you will choose to stay in my home in Via Aurora.
I enjoy living in this area since the 'living is easy': subway nearby, several good cafes for my morning cappuccino, handy newstands and sevreral favourite restaurants. The American Embassy is at very short walking distance from Via Aurora.
Just the right balance of city life, amenities, good food and park access.
I will do all I can to make your vacation perfect and will assist you if you shall need any help.
I will welcome you at your arrival, ciao!
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2010
A GREAT SAFE AND QUIET LOCATION WITHIN WALKING
DISTANCE TO MANY ATTRACTIONS. LISA MET US ON OUR
ARRIVAL FOR OUR 5-DAY STAY, AND SHE GAVE US GOOD
SUGGESTIONS FOR RESTAURANTS, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
AND A NEARBY GROCERY STORE IF NEEDED.
THE APARTMENT IS VERY CLEAN WITH A
VERY COMFORTABLE BED AND QUIET SURROUNDINGS.
IT IS IN EASY WALKING DISTANCE TO VIA VENETO, THE
BORGHESE GALLERY AND SUBWAY.
LISA ALSO ARRANGED OUR CAR SERVICE TO THE AIRPORT,
WHICH WAS GREAT.
LISA THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT AND WOULD GLADLY STAY THERE ON OUR NEXT VISIT TO ROME.
Stayed six nights, excellent alternative to a hotel. Crisp sheets, plenty of towels, elevator access, well stocked kitchen, good wifi, nicely decorated and well maintained, good housekeeping. Lisa personally met us and assisted with suggestions for restaurants and grocery shopping. Top floor location so plenty of natural light. Air conditioning worked well.
One downside was lack of TV access to sports channels (we were there during the World Cup). Oh well, it meant several evenings eating out at neighborhood places airing the games.
We liked the neighborhood, two blocks from Via Veneto, out of the fray of highly touristed areas, but walkable to most sights. Very close to Villa Borghese.
We have visited Rome on a number of occasions and this is the first time that we have used VRBO instead of staying with friends or in a hotel. We found the apartment to be exactly as depicted and the central location made for easy walks to the sights and metro. Our hostess was wonderful and so helpful with answering questions and accommodating our needs. We would highly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a comfortable and well-maintained rental along with an owner that is absolutely the best!!! Thank you so much for making our Roman holiday memorable.
For my sister-in -law and me, Lisa's apartment was the perfect home away from home while we spent two weeks wandering the streets and alleys of Rome. It is a bright clean apartment with lots of room for two people. The linens were lovely; the apartment was very clean, the bathroom was roomy, just a bit of a squeeze getting into the shower. We were able to fix a few meals in on the days that we walked a lot. We were able to make a cup of tea before bed.
Location, location, location. It was exactly what we wanted for our stay. Near to most of the sights; safe neighbourhood for returning from a late dinner out. The Borghese gardens a slightly more than five minutes walk away.
A perfect spot for living the dolce vita for two weeks, for two days, for any amount of time at all. Plan on returning in the not to distant future.
The icing on the cake was the delightful hostess. Lisa accomodated us with many kind courtesies. Most important was arranging for a car to and from the airport.
Thank you Lisa for providing us with the perfect spot for our holiday!
My husband and I were looking for a comfortable place to relax and recharge our batteries while spending a few days in Rome on R/R from Central Asia, and this apartment was heaven sent. The location could not have been more perfect or convenient for us. We enjoyed strolling around the parks, shopping streets, and historic sites/museums, knowing we could come 'home' and relax when jet lag struck. The metro is not too far away, & there were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The owner left instructions for convenient grocery stores and recommendations for restaurants and other services. Even though the owner was out of town during our visit, the owner was accessable via email and saved the day when we locked the keys inside the apartment. (Thank you!!) The kitchen was very well equiped, the bed very comfortable, the living room relaxing and roomy, with all very tastefully renovated and decorated. The apartment was full of light and extremely quiet being away from the street. There is an elevator for 2 (so cute and cozy) so heavy suitcases will not be a problem. Thank you again for our stay. I feel we found a little bijoux in Rome and hope you'll have us again when we visit my favorite Bernini sculpture (Daphne and Apollo).
This apartment, which is about 700 sq. ft, is within 2 blocks of Via Veneto, one of the most prestigious areas of Rome. A nice 4 or 5 star hotel in this area would cost $400 per night while this apartment is half that or less. So, for the price and the neighborhood, you cannot beat it. That said, the entrance to the building and the elevator are really old and in desperate need of some sprucing up. They are clean and safe, just dark and dingy. That apartment is on the top floor, it's neat, efficient and fairly bright. The bathroom is very tight but, given where you are, chances are you will be coming in late, leaving early and spending your time exploring this wonderful city and this pleasant neighborhood. From the apartment you can walk 2 blocks up Via Veneto to Villa Borghese or go in the opposite direction and walk to the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. There are several nice restaurants within a few blocks as well as 2 markets and an enoteca. The king size bed was very comfortable and the linens were of a nice quality, although the towels were a bit rough and stiff, as if they had been line-dried instead of in a dryer with a softener. Lisa was very nice to deal with and we would stay here again.
