Live in a piece of North Vancouver history while enjoying all the comforts of modern-day living.
This comfortable, cosy house has been lovingly restored. It has quiet central hot water heat (no dust), hot water on demand and the original fir flooring throughout.
Main floor: Bright, open concept large living room, dining area and kitchen with high end appliances. Oriented with maximum sun exposure to the south, overlooking the garden and the city in the distance. Office with telephone and work station.Bathroom has a big walk in shower, washer and dryer. There is also a laundry line off the deck for folks like me who like their clothes smelling of sun and wind.
Second floor: 4 good-sized bedrooms (9 foot ceilings), two with city views, two with mountain views. 2 queen sized beds, two double beds, baby crib
Bathroom upstairs has a tub with shower.
Relax in front of the wood-burning fireplace while watching the city lights of Vancouver come on.
Wake up with the morning sun shining into your room and gaze into the distance. On a clear day you can see Mount Baker in the USA.
Have breakfast in front of the big picture window and plan the adventures of your day.
Maybe a trip to Whistler, to take in some of the world's best downhill skiing. Only one hour and twenty minutes from the house on a brand new road built for the Olympics.
Or, you could just snuggle up on the soft sectional sofa with a good book and mellow music playing in the background.
Keywords: This house is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood on a private, south facing lot, two blocks from the forest.
It is only a 15-20 minute drive to beautiful downtown Vancouver, but less than 10 minutes away from great biking and hiking trails.
A 20 min. drive takes you to three amazing ski/snowboard destinations, including Cypress Mountain (2010 Winter Olympics)
Within walking distance (10min) are: a full shopping mall and village centre with restaurants, a library, banks, coffee houses and pubs.
4 min. walk to catch the bus downtown.
I am a retired professional, a potter and a painter. This house has very peaceful, good vibes and I love living in it. I always chose to live at the edge of a city to combine country and city living. We have deer in the garden, lots of different species of birds and a spring in Lynn Headwater with the best water in the Lower Mainland.
I enjoy the serenity and laidbackness of living in the North Shore Mountains. It feels like living in a country paradise with all the opportunities of a big city at your doorstep.
Good air, lots of green, friendly neighbors, centrally located, quiet, yet close to everything you want, that sums up my property.
