My wife and i have been vacationing at Siesta Key for 26 wonderful years. You'll see the magic we found and you'll never go anywhere else.
Casa Mar condominiums is central to everything on the key, with fine and casual restaurants and shopping just a short drive or bike ride away. Bike, boat, and kayak rentals are available nearby. Covered parking is right outside your back door.
Siesta Key is America's #1 beach. Enjoy the amazing white 'quartz' sand, soft on your feet and never hot, even in the middle of the day. Your private beach at Casa Mar Resort is one of the biggest on Siesta Key, all beach furniture provided. The two large pools on the property are heated and one is right outside your door along with one of the shuffleboard courts and the tennis courts are very near as well. Patio furniture and a small table are provided as well as pool furniture.
The condo is at 6006 Midnight Pass Road, on Siesta Key, in Casa Mar, on the beach side of the road, and is about one and three quarter miles south of the main village and a little more than half a mile north of the south bridge and the south village.
The key is a great place for biking and there are bicycle rentals nearby. Siesta beach is over two miles long and in June, it is usually very quiet.
Siesta Key's main village has great restaurants, bars and shopping. The south village is much smaller, but has a few great restaurants and bars as well as a grocery store. Further south on the key is Turtle beach, with 3 very good restaurants.
There are free small taxis ( like large golf carts ) that run into the night.
Off the key over the south bridge is a lot of shopping and more restaurants. Publix (grocery), Target and Walmart are short drives away.
At Casa Mar, ( http://www.casamarresort.net ), there are wonderful sunsets and the beach is wider than anywhere on the key, with furniture for sunning and a pavilion for shade. There are two pools, numerous gas grills, tennis courts and shuffleboard, plus free wifi.
My wife and i vacationed on the key for 23 years before we bought this condo. Numerous times, we stayed at Casa Mar, and we bought there because of the location, the wonderful private beach and the value. We live in Sarasota now, and when we go to the beach, we go to Casa Mar.
I remember vacations when we never left the Island.
The pictures of the fireworks and the sunset were taken by me right there on the beach at Casa Mar.
