We have owned this little slice of heaven for 10 years and have used it for many different purposes. You will love it, too, as a weekend retreat for you, your family and your friends. Don ‘t forget church groups, bunko groups, cycling teams, PTA groups, college reunions, craft groups …we’ve had them all! Have your Aggies and your Longhorns meet you in the middle – might be the only common ground they have.
It’s a great home base for the Round Top Antiques Fair in April and October, training rides for the MS 150, as well as the Saturday night during the MS150 itself. There is year-round antiquing in the surrounding towns.
The four bedrooms feature King/Twin, Queen/Twin, three twins, and two twins. The King and Queen rooms have private baths, while the upstairs twin rooms share a bath. The whole house offers charm in its original wooden and beadboard walls, long-leaf pine floors, and old wavy glass windows. But the modern amenities are what you’d expect at a premium vacation home – central air and heat, stainless steel appliances, gas cook-top, upgraded bedding and pillows, satellite TV, DVD player, outdoor kitchen with granite counters and stainless grill and griddle. The professional décor is quaint, with antiques mixed with modern comforts. Inside dining offers seating for 12 at two tables, plus outside dining at the huge farm table in the outdoor kitchen.
The best part might be the wraparound porch with ten rocking chairs, 1950s glider, and wicker club chairs. Or the six Adirondacks on the patio beside the outdoor kitchen.
Lots of room to work on projects or just sit and soak up the central Texas views. We know you'll love it as much as we do!
