Located in beautiful Nanoose Bay in central Vancouver Island our home is a 20 minute drive to the emerging city of Nanaimo (shopping, restaurants, live theatre, cinema and much more), a 15 minute drive to the beachfront community of Parksville and a further 10 minute drive to the quaint, popular village of Qualicum. A 2 hour drive west through picturesque Port Alberni brings you to Tofino and the Pacific Coast. At the south end of the island, 2 hours away, Victoria beckons with all the character and charm of an inviting English manor and offers everything of an urban, modern city. And don't forget, 90 minutes north is the world famous Mt. Washington ski resort with alpine and downhill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sunshine and powder-topped runs in winter and hiking & biking trails in summer.

Our 2100 sq. ft. oceanview home is set on 1/2 acre overlooking spectacular Georgia Strait, Sunshine Coast and mainland mountains from several rooms in the house. Custom built in 1996 we have recently installed hardwood flooring in the living room and dining room at the front of our home and new carpet in the hallway and 2 bedrooms in the back, with tile in the 3 piece bath. The open concept has a centrally located fully equipped kitchen open to both the living and dining rooms, an ocean and mountain view patio off the dining room with a seating area close to the BBQ for the outdoor cooking enthusiast. We have several unique amenities including 2 cozy rooftop decks, vaulted ceiling in the living room, etched glass windows overlooking the living room from the upper floor master bedroom, skylit sunroom for bright, warmth in the morning sunrise and much more. The living room woodstove (with full wood shed) is our secondary source of heat and on a chilly day you can gather around and watch the storms roll in while enjoying the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of our beautiful home or catch up on your favourite show on our 40' flatscreen satelitte HD TV. Each of our 3 bedrooms has a queen bed with ample closet space and the master bedroom features a walk-in closet, a free standing shower stall and a double jacuzzi tub. The mainlevel laundry room has full size freezer, washer and dryer and is steps to the back yard with a 100' clothesline for our environmentally aware quests to use on those wonderful, sunny days. The fully fenced back yard is very quiet and private with a sitting area and is the access to our newly finished detached fitness studio complete with weights, weightbench, 2 bikes and floor/yoga mats.
Our home borders on a large green space (just forest and trails behind us) and is adjacent to the world class Fairwinds Resort with year round golf and activities. We are a short walk to a seculded beach and nearby there is a community mall with a grocery store, movie rental location, health food store, restaurant, hairdresser and more. Activities in the area include beach combing, lots and lots of hiking, biking, swimmining, diving, fishing, tennis, marina and abundant wildlife viewing of bald eagles, deer, sea lions and the list goes on.
We have off-street parking available. As non-smokers ourselves, we will rent only to non-smokers. Also we have no pets so no pets are allowed.
