YOUR DREAM HOUSE! You'll never want to leave. Built only in late 2007, this architectural-award winning home boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, to-die-for mountain views, and a massive open chef's kitchen (two Bosch ovens) with four seats at the island (perfect for chatting all day long, from coffee at breakfast to cocktails before dinner). Looking through the enormous windows at the mountains and mature trees, you'll feel like you're sitting IN the outdoors. During warm weather, relax in the outdoor screened-in porch or on the patio furniture to take in the garden and mountain views. Over the winter, cuddle up next to the large, crackling fireplace made of local Woodstock bluestone. [On very snowy weekends, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive to handle our mountain.] All year around, enjoy the media room with a 50-inch plasma TV (we have 100s of DVDs for adults and kids in the library) and a surround-sound speaker system and Wi-Fi throughout the house. PLUS: a private outdoor hot tub on the deck off the master suite! And a big tub with relaxing jets in the master bathroom!

If I could build my dream house atop a mountain - this would be it!!
Not only is everything modern, new, fantastic, working etc.... but the taste level of the decor is a tribute to owners who really have a tremendous sense of both art and style.
As if the 5-Star quality of this home was not enough - communicating with these owners was completely smooth, professional and precise.
It's a pity that after staying here - we cannot even think about renting another place. We were spoiled.
I'm a bit late on writing this review, but what else can I say that hasn't been said? The house was wonderful.. immaculately kept and well-equipped. It was everything that was described to us and more.
A small group of us came up from the city for a fall weekend and enjoyed it so much that we're hoping to make it an annual trip. Bradley was very helpful and accommodating, and the house and views were spectacular.
I hesitate writing this review only because my husband and I have now found a place so special we worry our stellar review will have it be booked up to infinity! But I can't resist sharing what an amazing experience we encountered in this beautiful vacation home.
What can't we say about this place? The photos are beyond accurate. This home is impeccably designed to the minutiae details from light ambiance to the surround sound music in every room, the placement of the windows to maximize the beauty of mother nature and the best part? The design of the master bedroom window to perfectly frame the stars and the Big Dipper. It was hard to close your eyes at the site of that in the middle of your room, but the linens and mattress were so comfortable we couldn't help but fall asleep. When you wake up and look to your right and see one lone white birch tree perfectly framed by the east window and how only if you lift your head can you see there is a railing to the deck. Obviously an incredible touch designed by architect and owner. The location of the hot tub and the quality of the indoor sunken tub for two. Both romantic!
The assortment of kitchen accessories (it's obvious someone is a hobby chef in this household!), the sharpness of the knives, the availability of spices and oils, the quality of the cookware. The softness of carpets, the comfiness of sofa's, the way the media den can suck you in to as it's designed for optimal tv watching. Every detail down to the mood lighting. The living space & kitchen is open concept and perfect for entertaining. The natural light streams from every window.
The ultimate was to sit outside on the terrace in the evening and realize the home and outdoor space is located & very likely designed to be perfectly aligned to watch the sunset fall between the open area in the trees until the very moment it drops away below the horizon. To top it off we had a turkey on the property who evidently was friends with a fawn and mother deer. They slumbered along watching us watch them all weekend.
The detailed home manual comes with recommendations for food, sites to see etc. & easy to understand home instructions. It's done with the care and hope you'll have the best experience possible. The homeowners were always available by text or phone. A local market has it all too. This wasn't just a place to stay, it's a place hard to leave. Be ready to forgive yourself when your mountain bikes and golf clubs go unused!
I'm not sure which we enjoyed most.... the town, including the restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed speaking with people at the Head Shops, specifically one guy who said, "I was there in '69 - unfortunately, I don't remember much - for me, it wasn't so much a religous experience as just a really fun weekend" (this comment felt very much like our get away weekend) or.... just the great time we had at the house!
The Kitchen is truly fabulous and the Great Room is funished beautifully. The icing on the cake is the Master Bedroom with the fabulous mountain views. Having several VBRO/Home Away rentals under our belt, this house is as advertised and is a perfect Catskill Mountain getaway.
Definitely recommend the Mount Tremper house - Thank you Bradley and Jack -- we had a great weekend.
The pictures barely do the house justice. The house is incredibly spacious, open & light. Furnished beautifully and most comfortable. Everything was top shelf - from the kitchen appliances to the bed linens to the bathroom fixtures. I've never stayed at a better equipped home before, I felt as if I was at home. Bradley was a friendly and accommodating host. The only thing that we were not happy about was having to leave. We are all looking forward to returning soon.
Magical. The master bed has a perfectly framed mountain scene. The house is comfortable, quiet, scenic, and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. The owners are kind and generous. A group of friends and I had the best weekend here we could have possibly imagined. I would heartily recommend staying here!
