My husband and I have loved living here. #43 and 45 Uranus were our primary residences for seven years and we commute between NY and California now. It's an amazing place to stay in an unrivaled location and we couldn't bear to part with them. We hope you enjoy it!
Barry purchased this house in 2003
Twin Peaks and Randalls Museum are a short walk, offering stunning 360 degree views of the city and Bay area up to Napa. Or enjoy coffee in the three-tiered yard or one of the decks. Walk down the hill to Golden Gate park or jump on the trolley to shopping downtown. The entire city is at your fingertips.
We traveled with in laws and our 2 kids. The property is in the Twin Peaks area aka very high hills and worth it. It is a beautiful home with amazing views. We saw the fireworks one night from the AT&T ballpark from inside the house- amazing. The master suite downstairs also has full access outside to the patio and yard. The use of the optional garage was great and fit our large Toyota Sienna minivan. Love the little grocery shop down the corner super convenient. We highly recommend this place.
We were two couples travelling with a 17 year old daughter. The house gave us all the privacy we needed and still made us all feel special in staying in a lovely home. The neighbourhood was interesting and we walked twice the 6-7 blocks to Cole St for restaurants. There is everything you could want in the house and the description of the listing is very accurate. The local corner store had great selection of wine. House was very clean. Great view. It was perfect in comfort, impressive in quality.
I've stayed in a number of homes in San Francisco on various trips, trying to get a feel for the different neighborhoods. This Corona Heights unit is on an absolutely lovely street, and the listing is not exaggerating about the views. Even though this apartment is a half level down from the street (and with another unit above), it has views that can only be called stunning. It's just a short walk over the hill to Cole Valley with its great restaurants and shops, and a short walk down the hill in another direction to the Muni stop at Market and Castro Streets, and to the Castro with its also great shops and restaurants. The home is *very* well equipped--kitchen, bedding, towels, bathroom--everything, and the furniture is of a level of quality way above a lot of the short-term rentals in San Francisco. If there is one drawback, it is that the noise from the upper unit carries down into the main living level of this unit; I could hear everything the people up there said. In all fairness, I did have the doors open onto the deck, and perhaps they had their doors open too. In any case, the master bedroom is a flight down from the main living area, and has its own private living area and deck--and it is very quiet. The master bath has a *wonderful* shower. Barry is a responsive host. I would definitely consider staying in one of his units again.
We have stayed at several VRBO locations and had a wonderful, experience each time; this was no exception. The home is comfortable, spotless, roomy, has every amenity imaginable - shampoo, conditioner, fresh drinking water in the refrigerator, a complete well-equipped kitchen, fresh fluffy towels in abundance, comfortable beds, a spa-like bathroom in the master suite, gorgeous sunrises, a binder with very helpful information . . . . .and then, there’s the view! We can’t imagine a better one in any location in San Francisco!. We stayed here with another couple and there was plenty of room for privacy, if desired. We rented the garage, and were very happy we did. Barry was super helpful and responsive to any questions.
My family and I had the opportunity to be in San Francisco to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. We needed a place that was spacious and was also easy to get to and from. This place had it all. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently renovated and they were beautifully done. The beds were very comfortable and the linens luxurious. Everything we need was there. And to top everything off, the view was outstanding!!!
I look forward to staying in your beautiful place again and I'm glad to recommend to anyone!!
Thank you Barry for returning all of my calls so promptly and answering my countless questions.
My hubby and I wanted a quick one evening retreat in the city for his birthday and were able to do so at this fabulous location. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the unit was although we were in the middle of the city. The house was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. It had a comfortable ambiance and catered to all our needs. OMG, and the views!! They truly were breathtaking. Luckily for us, it was a clear and sunny day so we had an amazing view of the city. We loved the house so much we decided to stay in for dinner even though we had reservations at one of the best steakhouses in the city. Also, the owners were so accommodating to us - we had asked for an early check-in AND a late check-out.
Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat! Next time it will definitely be longer!!
