BEACHFRONT TROPICAL PARADISE-STEP OUT THE DOOR TO THE BEACH!!

Beach was very scenic and just a stonesthrow away from the condo.
Alice and Bernie were very gracious and helped make our stay a positive experience!

The condo was great! Kitchen had everything we needed to make a great meal! We used the grill a couple times to make steaks and shrimp, yum! If you decide to do some cooking, we recommend going to the bigger grocery store about out of Red Hook. The local grocery store in Red Hook is very expensive.

The decor was nice and very comfortable. It was also nice having our own washer and dryer so that we did not have to pack a ton of clothes and came back with a suitcase full of clean laundry! We also liked the location - easy to get anywhere on the local buses and close to Red Hook where we took the ferry over to St John. I highly recommend doing this for a day, it is beautiful and the snorkeling is awesome!

There were a couple negatives, one was the internet. We noticed a router in the condo and inquired as to how to connect to it a couple times, but never got an answer. The other thing was that the owner told me cleaning service would be in daily to clean the room and they did not come in at all the entire time we were there.

Just back from my third visit and I love this place. This is the place to go if you are looking for tranquilty in a beautiful setting. The condo is beatifully furnished and is steps away from the white sand and turquoise water of Sapphire Beach.

My friend and I spent most mornings having coffee on the beach, enjoying the spectacular colors of the water with St. John in the distance. Diane (the beach attendant) was anxious to bring us a chair and help in any way she could to make our stay pleasant. On some days, Banana Cabana and the Sapphire Bar & Grill provided food and beverage service on the beach.

Red Hook is a short safari ride ($2) away and offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and conveniences. FishTales and Amigos were favorites. If you prefer to stay in for meals, the kitchen is well equiped and Marina Market at Red Hook has a great selection of meat, fish and produce. A little further away are Food Center and Cost U Less. The locals will also tell you where to buy the best fish, direct from the fishermen. Charcoal grills are available if you prefer outdoor cooking.

We took two trips via ferry from the terminal at Red Hook-one to Virgin Gorda and another to St. John. Round trip ferry rides to St. John are $12 and the boats run frequently from early morning to midnight. There is excellent snorkeling right off the beach and there is a stand at the neighboring complex that rents all the gear you will need. Also a short walk away is a marina that offers kayaks, personal water craft, snorkeling tours, etc.

We didn't use the pool or tennis courts but both are excellently maintained.
