Chuck and Pam built this home along with all the rental homes themselves and live on the property caring for them as well as for their guests. They enjoy helping others enjoy the northwoods and time with family and friends creating memories.
Eagle River is our Northwoods Paradise!
The peace and quiet of Anvil Lake and the Nicolet Forest provide every possible sport and fun year round. Eagle RIver is only 10 minutes away for groceries, gas, and other needs as well as entertainment and resturants.
Our family has been renting here for many years. The week goes by way to fast and we can't wait to go back. From the water sports, kayaking, paddle boats, paddle boards, volleyball courts, scenery, and the fishing, there is plenty to do to keep you busy. The beach and grounds are very well maintained. Each cabin is checked throughout the week to make sure everything is going well. We always see loons and eagles near the property. The lake is beautiful and are counting the days until we go back again!
This is one of the best vacation homes in the North Woods. It is warm and accommodating, clean, and always in good repair. The vast grounds, dock, and beach are well kept and perfect for all outdoor activities. Anvil Lake is a nice size lake with a variety of fish. It is not an overly populated lake, so there's a lot of room for water sports and fishing. Because it isn't overly populated, it's quiet and private. I would definitely recommend this home to larger families who enjoy the outdoors.
Our entire family, plus 3 others, recently spent a week at Zaugg's Lodge. We have been coming there for a week every summer for the past 18 years, ever since we discovered this jewel in the North Woods. It is a terrific place for families to gather; lots of room for everyone, beautiful surroundings, lovely accommodations, the beautiful lake. Chuck and Pam Zaugg go out of their ways to ensure that we have a wonderful week.
Facility was outstanding ! Property was well maintained & everything was in working order.
Chuck & Pam need a great job in making us feel welcomed.
Weather was a little "iffy" with rain a few days. Plenty of space in cabin for our group to feel
comfortable. Water was cool, but it didn't brother the grandkids. Beach was clean.
Great week , & we'll be back !
We had a wonderful time at Zaugg's resort!! It is so peaceful and well kept. It is truly a relaxing vacation with so much to do; boating, biking, water skiing, paddle boarding, running around the lake, swimming or just napping on the hammock next to the lake. This was our 4th consecutive year there and we plan to make this our vacation spot every summer!! Also, it is a great place for kids!! Very safe and kid friendly:-)
We have recently spent our 17th year at Zaugg's Resort having our annual family vacation. As always, we had wonderful accommodations, staying at their main Lodge. All of it is well-maintained and in good condition, with a lot of amenities to please. The Lodge and surroundings are gorgeous. We swam in the lake every day, did some shopping in Eagle River, golfed at a nearby golf course and went go-karting. We used the tennis courts, the beautiful yard and beach, and enjoyed boating as well. The Zaugg's are special people who really care about the people who come there.
