Spring 2012 Visit

Dear Barry and Zoey:
We really enjoyed your cozy and well-appointed cabin for our week's visit this past week. Among other things, we really appreciated your warm personal welcome, and as weary travelers from Florida, your providing us with a dozen of your hens' freshly-laid eggs as well as a few jars of yummy, locally-made huckleberry jams and jellies!
We really welcomed and felt lucky to get the heavy blast of Spring snow that blanketed the area over night our second night and the next day, making for GREAT skiing conditions at Big Sky, not to mention a wonderful winter-like atmosphere for the roaring fires in the cabin's river rock fire place (thanks for providing ample firewood for that).
Owing to the otherwise early Spring, the Gallatin River provided a great opportunity for Dad to break out the fly fishing gear and get a couple of nice Rainbows (if I were a more competent fly fisherman, I might have nailed a couple dozen ... I noticed guide Dave Alvin, of nearby East Slope Fly Fishing, absolutely slaying the fish up-river from where I was fishing one day at Deer Creek bridge).
Finally, thanks to you both for welcoming us into your beautiful home for a night of coffee, homemade ice cream and fun games with the Tillery family and their friends from Orlando ... we had a blast.
The surrounding Alpine majesty of the Rockies, and your lovely property in particular, truly provided a background for a memorable trip.
We really look forward to our next visit ... we'll tackle the Madison River next time!
All our best,
E, L & P
