Silver Lake contains some of the most famous modernist architecture in North America. Known as the Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path and park), and a Tuesday and Saturday farmers market. It is the center of the indie rock scene of LA and is an eclectic neighborhood attracting creative people, artists, musicians, and environmentally conscious businesses.
In 2013, CNNmoney named Silverlake 'LA's best neighborhood' and said 'this area has blossomed in recent years, becoming a haven for families as well as the hipsters who first popularized it. The stretch of Sunset Boulevard that runs through Silver Lake is packed with shops and hotspots, defying the 'no walking in L.A.' cliché.'

We have lived in Silverlake for more than 11 years and love the area. We work in the film and graphic design industries and like to apply our design aesthetic to our rental properties. We manage several luxury rentals in the area and live nearby, so we are here to ensure you have a memorable stay.
Dan purchased this house in 2005
We love its central location and its proximity to most LA attractions. It's also a hip but safe and family-friendly neighborhood (voted trendiest neighborhood in LA by WSJ for 2012 and best LA neighborhood in 2013 by CNNmoney). This house is unique with its downtown views and separate artists studio that can be used as an office. It is so much more comfortable staying here than in a hotel room!
We have a couple of las minute changes and needed to extended our trip, Dan was extremely accommodating and quick to let us know that we would be able to stay. The place was beautiful and in a perfect location as we had to travel all over LA!
This adorable house in Silver Lake was the ideal setting for our family Thanksgiving! We've rented many places on VRBO and Airbnb and this place is exceptional--it's got tons of vintage charm as well as modern conveniences. We were instantly captivated by the cute modern decor and the tranquil location with a great view of downtown. You can tell that the owners truly care about the house and the comfort of their visitors: The beds are super-comfy with pillow-top mattresses; the kitchen is well stocked with critical appliances (toaster oven, nice coffeemaker); there are those little things that make a huge difference, like nightlights in key areas and thoughtful house manual. The second bedroom is great for kids, with two twin beds. This is really a 3-bedroom place: the studio in back was an unexpected bonus and allowed our older parents to stay with us for a couple of nights, which they really appreciated. Kudos to owner Dan for making this such a welcoming place....truly a home away from home.
We had a wonderful 4 nights stay, and only wished it could have been longer! Especially loved the nice interior decor, and easy access to Silver Lake neighborhood cafes. The kitchen had all we needed for easy BBQ dinners on the outdoor grill. We loved the beautiful views right outside the front door, and gorgeous sunsets from the back. The backyard wanted some landscaping, but my 4 year old son had a blast exploring all it's quirky nooks and crannies every day. There were even a few toys for him to play with!
We stayed there 6 days with two teen-agers. confortable house And very Nice view of the city
Localised In a quiet part of the city near to the main places of los angeles
We recommand this renting to enjoy You trip
We just finished a 5 day stay here in mid June. We couldn't have been happier with the updated and stylish house. It has A/C, modern furnishings and amazing linens and beds. Our two daughters loved the fun room with the twin beds. We were able to walk to coffee and restaurants and soak in the hipster vibe of the neighborhood. The house provided a welcoming home base while we explored LA and was located close to the major freeways. Lastly, it was a real pleasure dealing with Dan who was super responsive, easygoing and nice. We hope to be back soon!
We stayed here over Thanskgiving weekend with our 13 month old and almost 3 year old daughters. The house was perfect for us. The girls had lots of space to crawl and run around. The layout of the house allowed them to be in a separate bedroom without being on top of us but close enough that we could hear what was going on. They both loved the kids desk and chairs in the bedroom. An extra bonus for them was a mini air hockey table and a huge bad of legos/random toys.
The house was fabulously equipped with everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with basic ingredients (butter, sugar, etc) and more which made cooking easier. I don't think there was an appliance or utensil missing.
The location is great, with easy access to the freeway. We got to and from LAX, Disneyland, amd Studio City with no problems. There is a great playground and merry-go-round in nearby Griffith Park. With the great weather, we easily walked down to Sunset Blvd to eat.
The owners were proactive on checking that we were all set and incredibly responsive to all questions before, during, and after our stay.
We definitely hope to return!
