Guestbook comments from the owner

First time in bend. What a great town! Checked out a good number of breweries. met our daughter and her boyfriend for the weekend. We enjoyed your house immensely. We played Scrabble and watched "Blair Thumb". The hot tub was relaxing too. We rolled around on the bikes too! Great location. Thoughtful amenities! Highly recommend this gem of a rental. Would stay here again if possible.

Lovely House in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! We enjoyed 5 nights at the River Run Cottage for our anniversary. This house exceeded our expectations. It is decorated perfectly, has great back yard, and a very well-appointed kitchen. We were able to walk to downtown Bend for dinner, ride the beach cruisers around town, run on nearby trails, and soak in the hot tub. Our dog loved the yard too! The booking process was easy, and Lisa even gave us some great restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this home!

Outstanding Location and Charm Galore!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from an 8 day stay at The River Run cottage and had a fabulous time. We own a vacation home in Redmond but find ourselves gravitating more and more to the downtown Bend area. Renting this home was a way for us to "test" the area and see if we want to move to Bend, (we do!). This home was perfect, the location outstanding, we loved the fenced yard for our dogs and the hot tub was a welcome spot after a long day of hiking or biking. This property offers a home-away-from-home feeling and comes fully stocked with everything you could need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is open, airy and fun to cook in and we loved the seating in the kitchen for our morning coffee and to plan the day. We were able to walk to so many fun spots and driving to great hiking locations took just minutes. We highly recommend The River Run Cottage and will definitely stay here again. Lisa and her staff were excellent to work with too.

Owner's Response: You sound like you were made for Bend and I think you should just move on in and be a local! The River Run is one of my favorites, and always seems so welcoming-----------it makes me want to live near that historic downtown, in the middle of all the goodness. You are most welcome to come stay (until you move here) Thanks for sharing---

Great home in great location

  • 5 of 5

We're very familiar with Bend and have stayed at numerous resorts and rental properties in the area. River Run Cottage met our criteria for a well-appointed, welcoming and comfortable home away from home and, in the end, greatly exceeded our expectations! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing home base within walking distance to downtown and a great location from which to take day trips around Central Oregon. The sunny backyard and hot tub were great after a day at the mountain, and we enjoyed hosting dinner guests in style thanks to the wonderful kitchen and dining room. We can even vouch firsthand for the honesty and integrity of the housekeeping and management team, who went the extra mile to get a forgotten laptop back to us following our stay. We look forward to staying at River Run again!

Owner's Response: One of my favorite things about the River Run is that great kitchen---so glad you got to give her a workout! I was happy to get your lap top returned as well-----that heart-stopping moment when you realize its gone is just terrible...glad to re-unite you both. Hopefully we'll see you sunning in the backyard again soon----Many thanks!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this charming cottage for three nights and could not have loved it more. It includes everything you would need to cook if you wanted although we only stayed in one night for dinner as it is so close to downtown (within walking distance) that we preferred to explore all of the dining options. It is decorated so that you feel right at home no matter what room you are in. The hot tub is great. I would recommed this house to everyone
