Polson Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5)
Experience a spectacular, sweeping view of the Mission Mountains and the sparkling, blue-green water of Flathead Lake from a cabin perched on an untouched rocky slope over the waterfront. Be amazed at the constantly changing moods, colors and beauty of the panoramic view.
Go down to the large dock and go swimming, fish for lake trout or take your boat out for a spin on the huge expanse of the main body of the lake. Or perhaps kayak or canoe over to explore Pirate`s Cove to find hidden treasures (such as driftwood sculptures). Savor your privacy with a glass of wine on a deck like the bow of a ship sailing on an ocean... or rise early to see the magnificent sunrises.
Treasure the exclusivity of 200 ft. lakefront with untouched nature on both sides, while being only 10 miles from Polson. Either go shopping, visit summer festivals, view art exhibitions or enjoy a live play or muscial in Bigfork - only a mere 50 minutes away or just across the lake by boat.
Two bedrooms and 1 bath accomodate 5 persons with firm beds, a queen-size in one room and a double and single in the other. Warm up with a fire in the wood-stove while taking in the panoramic view. Furnishings are early American, cozy and rustic. Take your dog for a wonderful hike up to the ridge for views all the way up to Glacier Natl. Park, across to Wildhorse Island and to the west for incredible sunsets.
Polson is only 20 minutes away by car and offers excellent grocery shopping, plus a 9-hole and 18-hole golf course, boat rentals, rafting possibilities and a cinema.

I`m a native Missoulian with a European husband and a home in Germany, a passion for traveling, learning languages and mountain climbing.
A love of children, animals, nature and beauty have always made Flathead Lake and the wilderness areas surrounding it very, very special to me.
We have explored every trail in the Mission Mtns. and have seen grizzly bears on the peaks. We also always enjoy the bison on the Natl. Bison Range close by and the wild sheep on Wildhorse Island.
Although we live in Europe, we spent most of the summers while our children were growing up at the lake cabin.
I love the sound of the waves beating against the rocky shoreline when I go to sleep, or drinking a cappucino in the shade of the ancient and enormous ponderosa pine which shades the wrap-around deck from the morning sun. Diving from the dock into the deep, green, cyrstal-clear water for a swim in the full moon-river of summer is unforgettable!
I grew up in Montana and acquired the cabin from my parents. Going up to the lake from Missoula was always relaxing and exciting, especially the first glimpse of the Missions after driving up through the valley and over the pass.
Rocky Point ( Matterhorn Point) is not only one of the most beautiful places on the lake, it is also close to Polson, Glacier Natl. Park, Kalispell and Missoula while maintaining a secluded atmosphere.
The view is one of the most breath-taking and untouched on the entire lake. Possibilites to hike are more numerous than on other, more crowded parts of the lake. The deep water prevents 'lake itch' which can occur in shallower water.
There are no geese to dirty up the shoreline, as there is only a rocky slope going straight into the water. Since we are on the main body of the lake it is quieter than on the other side of Rocky Point or other locations where there are so many docks that they are almost joined to each other.
