This is a 1936 single family home that is well loved and well decorated. The home has a large kitchen with a spacious prep island, large windows on three sides looking out onto a large pecan tree - and plenty of dishware for entertaining. The living areas are decorated with contemporary art and designer-quality furniture, including G Romano. This house has been photographed in Tribeza magazine, for a piece on interior design.

We are on a spacious corner lot with a large yard. This house is on a quiet street one block away from the hippest area in Austin, South Congress Avenue. There are many great restaurants, shops, bars and music venues only a 5 minute walk away - Continental Club, Gueros, Hey Cupcake, Vespaio....

Bedrooms include high-end natural latex mattresses and bedding. With large pecan trees, cozy but stylish furnishings, a deck, cruising bicycles, this house is meant to feel like your stylish home away from home.

We are looking for respectful renters who will really enjoy their time here.

We lived in this rental house ourselves for many years, which we hope ensures that all the amenities are provided, and have paid special attention to keeping this house charming and fresh, both for ourselves and for our renters.

Natural cleaning products are used. The paint is no-voc. This all means we take care in eliminating toxins and allergens as much as possible for our guests and the environment.

My husband and I stayed here and we loved it. We have stayed in several vacation rentals around downtown Austin but this one is a perfect location. It's an adorable house with extremely comfortable beds. We are already on the books for a second visit and can't wait. The owner is also very nice and accommodating, which we really appreciated.

The house and location are perfect for a great Austin getaway. The house was well kept and had all the amenities we needed. The property is located in the SoCo area one street over from all the shops, restaurants, and clubs on Congress. Easy walking distance. The location is also in close proximity to many of the more popular destinations in Austin.

We truly appreciated how responsive and accommodating Brian was during our stay. I would recommend this rental to family and friends.

Cozy Digs

Very good feel to this South Congress neighborhood (porches, peeps walking dogs, bicyclists, neighbors with kids) and a great ambiance in this comfortable home. Wonderful wood-paned windows in every room -- they actually open and close -- great back deck with barbecue pit, nice furnishings, a large TV and Internet for connectivity. Not for the mod-squad type, as there is no dishwasher and the bathroom is small. But, hey, you want SoCo, not the W Hotel, right? I'm returning and pretending I live there.

Charming, cosy, convenient vintage home in lively area. We loved the proximity to both the park and the main drag. Beautifully decorated. Great kitchen. Helpful owner. Would recommend it to friends.

As stress-free as it can get!

We had 8 people between the house and the casita for Labor Day weekend and it could not have been a better experience as far as convenience of location and comfort level. The place was perfectly clean and offered all of the necessities of a weekend stay.

The owners could not have been nicer and politely asked us to keep the level down late at night instead of yelling at us/getting angry (we obliged by the way!). I had a question for Brian and he responded to me promptly to address the issue.

I would highly recommend staying in this house, especially if you are interested in hanging out around SoCo.
