This 625 square foot casita nestled under oak and pecan trees is located in a quiet neighborhood two blocks from the restaurants, boutiques and music venues of the ''hippest street in America'', South Congress Avenue. With bamboo floors, no-voc paints, cable, wifi, a walk-in closet and lots of windows overlooking the garden, this casita is meant to be a quiet haven from exploring, working, watching live music, sightseeing and more.

It is perfect for a couple's romantic getaway, a small family, a music or film aficionado, or business traveler who wants the comfort of home.

About the Owners: We moved to Austin from San Francisco 10 years ago, and have always lived in the South Congress neighborhood since our arrival. We are enamored with the European-style walkability of the area (we can bike and big wheel to all of our favorite stores and restaurants!), combined with a homey, friendly and highly musical environment that is distinctly Austin.

We lived in our rental ourselves for many years, which we hope ensures that all the amenities are provided, and have paid special attention to keeping this house charming and fresh, both for ourselves and for our renters.

You will be 1 block from the hippest restaurants, bars, music venues and shops in Austin, and biking distance to downtown.

We moved to Austin from San Francisco 10 years ago, and have always lived in the South Congress neighborhood since our arrival. We are enamored with the European-style walkability of the area (we can bike and big wheel to all of our favorite stores and restaurants!), combined with a homey, friendly and highly musical environment that is distinctly Austin.

We lived in our VRBO rental ourselves for many years, which we hope ensures that all the amenities are provided, and have paid special attention to keeping this house charming and fresh, both for ourselves and for our renters.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway stay right off South Congress. The owners were very responsive during the rental process and made it all very straightforward. The 'Casita' is very clean and the neighborhood is quiet while being a stone's throw from the best part of Austin.

Perfect place for a lovely two-month stay in Austin. Place worked out perfectly - it was exactly as presented in the listing, only nicer. Owners were very responsive and friendly to any question that we had. Being close to South Congress and downtown was fabulous! In fact, we had so much fun in and around the neighborhood and riding our bikes in town and in the state parks, that we only filled our gas tank up one time! Loved it.

Had a great time during our stay -- the house was exactly as pictured and was in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk to great restaurants and shopping on South Congress. Owner's suggestions were great. Don't miss the Whip In!

Awesome location......Is that not what it is all about? Comfortable bed and off street parking are also huge bonuses. Very clean and tidy.

Loved the casita!

This studio was just right for us. We could walk to dinner and shopping on South Congress and we could also walk to our daughter's house in Travis Heights. The back yard was perfect for our elderly dog and great for our grandkids to run around in while the adults enjoyed talking inside. It was clean and freash with a large bathroom and closet. We would defintely stay there again.
