Welcome to the West Haven Home!

This new & cozy basement apartment is located in a safe and family friendly neighborhood of West Jordan, Utah. Nestled by the Oquirrh Mountains, this home provides peaceful living with beautiful views. Never a boring stay when you can plan a picnic or hike the local trails. The West Haven Home is conveniently located in close proximity to two major highways that provide quick access to all of Salt Lake County. Want to venture to Downtown Salt Lake? Be there in 25 minutes! Prefer to navigate the outdoors? Take scenic walks around the neighborhood that include astonishing views of the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains. Enjoy a barbecue in our shared access backyard that features an outdoor grill and relax in a space that's equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture, a smokeless fire-pit, and amazing views of the Wasatch mountains (Yes, from our backyard!). Additionally, there is also shared access to the front yard where you can relax on the porch with a good book and a cup of tea. Did we mention that we routinely see wildlife from a safe distance? There’s also local farms that have large pastures with cows and horses. Enjoy the perks of country living, without giving up the entertainment of city life. Why stay in the city when you can enjoy local living and avoid high nightly rates?! The private entrance is located at the front of the property with plenty of lighting and features a smart lock to conveniently access the unit. There is plenty of on-street parking and an additional reserved parking space at the rear of the home.

-The private entrance leads to a ground level foyer that includes a sofa bed for additional sleeping arrangements and doubles as an office. The stairs lead to an open concept kitchen, dining area, and living space.

-The modern kitchen includes new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, soft-close cabinets, and all kitchen essentials for preparing your favorite dishes.

-The living room is furnished with a new comfortable faux leather futon and Smart 55” TV.

-The large bedroom features a new queen mattress; 55” Smart TV; sconces on either side of bed; walk-in closet; vanity; and blackout cordless shades.

-The second bedroom has new furnishings; queen mattress; Vizio TV; large closet; a workstation; and blackout cordless shades.

-The bathroom features a large tiled shower with a rain shower head and handheld shower wand.

This unit is elegantly and carefully designed to make you feel at home.

Please note, this is a basement apartment. It is underneath our main floor. Pictures on listing are of the private basement apartment only. We've added extra insulation and soundproof treatment for the basement ceiling, but some noise transfer may happen. We are respectful of quiet hours (9pm - 7am) and can accommodate requests and concerns. Please note, this is a new community and construction noise may be heard throughout the day. We have one exterior camera by our front door for security purposes.

We enjoy cooking as a family and discovering new foods. Whenever the task of vacationing with kids doesn't seem impossible, we like traveling to new places. We listed our unit because we love the idea of house hacking. Additionally, we’re proud to provide families like ours an affordable place to stay while visiting our great state, without compromising on quality.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood has amazing views of Salt Lake Valley and the Oquirrh mountain range. I love the fact that we enjoy quiet living, while having the option to travel less than 30 minutes to visit the bustling city of Salt Lake. We see cows, horses, and elk on our way to work, but still enjoy a suburban life.

What makes this property unique

This basement apartment was thoughtfully constructed and designed! It is completely permitted by our city and up to code for peace of mind. We take pride in providing a clean and safe space for our guest and their families! Aside from the quality of construction, we placed a lot of attention to detail in the furnishings and design of the space. We want our guests to feel comfortable and that is showcased in our choice of mattresses, pillows, and linens. Additionally, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a delicious meal. We include spices, cooking oil, vinegar, baking sheets, mixing bowls and more! Our kitchen features a large stainless steel sink and beautiful Quartz countertops. A beautiful kitchen to inspire a good meal.
