Brookings Luxurious Home with Sunsets, Ocean View, Beaches, Country, Rivers - This Place Has It All!

  • 5 of 5

This place was just beautiful! From the green pastures to the ocean view - just stunning! We loved the house so much that we didn't want to leave to go into town, we wanted to just take in the awesome view and peacefulness. We read the reviews for this place and knew that it was going to be spacious, but when we walked in...oh my gosh, the place was so much bigger and nicer than we expected. The master bathroom was huge, by the way - the biggest bathroom I had ever been in...loved it! The kitchen was so big and had all the cooking utensils/pans needed to cook homemade meals. The owner “Marshall” was great to work with and answered all our questions promptly.

Loved the beaches, town and harbor. The people were all so incredibly kind and down to earth. My husband and I are over 50 and looking for a place to retire and think we found it. We have been traveling to Oregon for years, mainly central, but after spending time in Brookings, it was the most beautiful! You must visit Harris Beach, gorgeous! Behind the Fred Myers is a secret beach, found some beautiful agates/rocks. There are lakes, and rivers everywhere, something we really appreciated coming from southern California.

If you love pizza and chicken, you need to go to Wild River Pizza, about 5 minutes towards town on highway 101. Its the best pizza/chicken we ever had. The local grocery store (Rays) fills your growlers with brewed beer (over 10 kinds), it was kind of neat (if you like beer) and something you don't see in CA. Went to a little restaurant called Superfly. Great food/staff. The local park ranger had told us to try their pulled pork sandwich and that it was the best, but they had just ran out. If you get a chance to try, please post a review and let us know.

The ocean is only a few minutes down the road. Make sure to visit the “Visitor Center” at Crissey Field State Park to learn about the area and the beach is awesome too. We found amazing drift wood, rocks and agates that we will keep forever. This was just such a great trip in the most incredible place. No wonder the people that live in Brookings are so kind and happy, they love their home city.

The home is located on 40 acres and totally private. Its rural with a modern touch. Internet worked great. Hot water - perfect. Washer/dryer, nice sheets, comfortable beds, everything was so nice and clean. If you love the beach and the country, this place is for you! Hope you get a chance to visit, you will not be disappointed.

This home had the best ocean/ hills view from all the homes we have rented in Oregon. The property was beautiful. The home was spacious with a great floor plan. The location is great close to shopping/ outdoor activities/ California . Most of all had a beautiful sunset.

We relaxed and enjoyed several movies went hiking there and several other place, not far to travel to Brookings or gold beach. Vacation rental houses is the way to stay so much better than a motel. Great location

Seclusion or adventure-seeking, this beautiful property offers it all! We had a wonderful time enjoying the view, listening to the waves, and stargazing from the back deck. Numerous beaches, redwoods, and rivers are nearby for exploring too.

Stunning View

  • 5 of 5

The house was large and comfortable and the view off the deck was amazing. At night in the distance we could hear the waves of the Pacific crashing on the rocks. Although the house seemed a world away from Brookings, it took only a few minutes to get to downtown and the stores and restaurants. Marshall was helpful and courteous in all of our dealings with him. We will certainly return here the next time we come to Brookings.

Excellent fishing in the Winchuck River on the property, and in nearby Smith and Chetco Rivers, and of course in the Ocean out of Brookings Harbor only minutes away. Elk and other wildlife may be seen close up as they wonder through the property.
