Come to Kauai and relax in the luxury of your own condo! This 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom condo just steps from Kalapaki Beach is awaiting your arrival! We are offering $799 for a 7 night stay base cost.

The condo is beautifully decorated in true Hawaiian style. On the main level is the fully equipped updated kitchen ~ perfect for preparing at home meals or putting together a picnic for a day at the beach. The living room and dining room are comfortably furnished in tropical decor and there is a lanai for your relaxation. A beautifully remodeled half bathroom completes this level. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, beautifully furnished, and another lanai. A second bedroom has 2 twin beds, also decorated in Hawaiian style. The bedrooms are perfect for a family of 4 or for one or two couples. The newly remodeled master bathroom on this floor consists of a large walk in shower, lighted vanity mirror, hair dryer and an in unit washer and dryer. Linens and bath towels are provided, as are an iron and ironing board. Stored in the Master Bedroom closet are boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and insulated bags for your use at the beach. Free WIFI service is provided should you bring your laptop or other electronic devices. There is a community computer available at the front desk for all guests to use free of charge.

In addition to ceiling fans, there is air conditioning in both bedrooms and in the living room/dining room area.

Right outside of the condo are two BBQ gas grills and a seating area, just perfect for a stay at home meal.

As you walk through the beautifully landscaped property, which was once a botanical garden, you will come upon the hilltop salt water swimming pool. At this location you will find two gas BBQ grills, outdoor shower and restrooms. Adjacent to the pool area are tennis courts and a shuffleboard court.

The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful to all your needs. The office also provides an activities desk to assist with any excursion, adventure or activity during your stay. Parking is free.

About The Owner

Being a native of California, I have always loved the beach and ocean. The first time I visited Kauai nearly 30 years ago, I fell in love with its beautiful landscape and friendly local people. It was truly a dream come true purchasing my condo, thus able to have my own slice of heaven here in paradise. Even after all these years, Kauai remains my most favorite place in this world to visit.

Why The Owner chose Lihue

Of all the islands I have visited in the state of Hawaii, Kauai is the most lush and pristine. The beautiful mountains and valleys that lead to phenominal beaches are unsurpassed. It is written that the first Polynesians to inhabit the Hawaiian Islands landed by outrigger canoes in Kauai along the Na Pali cliffs. To this day, this island remains reminiscent of old time Hawaii with its quaint towns and uncrowded beaches. Being the oldest inhabited island of the chain, folklore describes Kauai to have special healing powers. The island certainly 'heals' the woes of the fast pace of everyday life and gives all who visit a peaceful and rejuvinating stay. Kauai is my 'Happy Place' and I hope it will also becomes yours!

What makes this condo unique

Being able to start one's day by taking a stroll along Kalapaki Beach, just footsteps away, is one of my favorite activities staying at the condo. Just 10 minutes from the airport, vacationers can start their Hawaiian vacation experience without delay! While centrally located in Kauai, the condo is a easily accessible by car to Princeville, Hanalei, Poipu, Waimea Canyon and all the beautiful beaches and other fantastic sites that this island offers. There are farmer's markets almost daily all around the island where one can buy locally grown fruit and vegetables at a much lower cost than the stores. Its great fun talking to the local vendors and getting samples of their fantastic produce. Very close by on Rice St. is the Kauai Museum which transports its visitors back to the days of old Kauai with its rich history in the sugar cane industry. Sipping tropical drinks on one of the two lanais at the condo is very relaxing. But, if you'd like some live music to go along with your Mai Tais, just walk across the street to Duke's Bar and Grill right on the beach at Kalapaki. Don't forget to enjoy the beautiful sunset as you watch the surfers play on the waves!

Very clean and convenient

This condo is in an excellent location. After I gave up my rental car I was able to use the local bus to get around. The grills were so close and handy. The owner included lots of extras that made our stay even more like home. Beach, shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Great place to stay. Would book there again for sure.

Nice decor

This condo is nicely decorated and mostly newly renovated. However the mattresses are the worst that I have ever slept on. The Master bedroom could not even be slept on. We had to push 2 twins together and that was barely passible. The ad says it sleeps 6 put if the futon in the living room was intended to be slept on - good luck as it was even uncomfortable to sit on. The kitchen was well appointed but has an electric stove. The other thing to be aware of is that the bedrooms are on the second floor. Not ideal for the older set. It also a bit difficult to get in and out of as it is on a very busy street. The beach is close and and the little bay is pretty calm.

Owner's Response: I appreciate your review and comments about your stay at my condo. Other guests have not commented to me that the beds were impossible to sleep on. Nor have they complained about the futon in the living room with regard to sitting or sleeping. Replacing mattresses is an easy fix, so I will look into that. It is clearly stated in the description of my condo that the bedrooms are on the upper level, so the challenges you may have had with the stairs could have been avoided by carefully reading the description and then choosing a single level unit instead. The description also states that the unit sleeps 4 people comfortably, not 6, with an option of using the convertible futon couch. I am not sure what point you were trying to make commenting that the stove is electric. It works perfectly, as does the oven. I love my gas stove at home, but I don't find having to use an electric stove while on vacation a valid complaint. The highway outside the property does have more traffic in the mornings and in the evenings ~ rush hour times in Kauai. County roads, after exiting any private property, that lead onto the highway should always be approached with caution, which is true all over the island. Each time I respond to a guest's initial inquiry, I always tell them to feel free to contact me with any questions they may have. My management company is also very open to any guest's concerns and challenges prior to making their reservations. It is quite possible that the many difficulties you encountered could have been avoided if you had made inquiries beforehand. Then you could have chosen a property based on that knowledge and information which may have been more compatible and less challenging for you.

Excellent Experience

The owner of this condo has done her homework well. The unit itself is uber-clean and comfy. It took no time at all to feel right at home (I didn't want to leave.....EVER!!). All the amenities you need are provided for daily living, as well as enough toys for the pool or beach. The location is the absolute best.....the pool, shopping, multiple restaurants/bars, the beach, car/scooter rentals, island adventure info, and on and on, are all within a short - 3 to 5 min. walk. And then, when the dreaded last day is upon you, the airport is a 5 minute cab ride. I am already counting the days as to when I can call this awesome unit my 'Home' again, and say hello to all of the amazing people I have met and call my friends. Mahalo.

BEST accomodations in Kauai !!!!!!

This condo is gorgeous, super clean, comfy and very well located! The furnishings are beautiful and the place is cleaner than any hotel room. Two lanai's so in case you are sharing the unit you still have privacy. Across the street from Kalapaki Beach and two mini shopping centers with tons a restaurants only steps away. Beautiful pool and grounds and everyone is friendly and welcoming.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect place!

Centrally located to all parts of the island, this vacation home was beautifully decorated and immaculate. We felt very comfortable. The Costco is close by. We ate in during the day and ate out in the evenings. There are multiple choices of great restaurants across the street overlooking a beautiful bay and beach. The beach chairs are also a nice feature. It was great to have the washer and dryer available. We played tennis on the tennis court on the property and had a wonderful vacation. Mahalo!

Convenient location, comfortable, nicely equipped

We were here for 3 nights (9/30-10/3) to celebrate my mother's 89th birthday and visit with relatives. The location was great for what we wanted to see and being near the relatives. The unit was comfortable and well stocked with many extras such as zip lock bags, paper towels, insulated cooler bags, blue ice & ice packs, cotton swabs, etc. The are 6 steps to the front entry and the bedrooms were upstairs, which did get a little tiring for my Mom, but she did fine. Everytime we returned to the unit, we always found parking in front of the building. We were glad that there were AC wall units because of the heat and humidity, but the unit in the 2nd bedroom was noisy and didn't really cool off the room well because not the wall between the bedroom and the hall did notgo all the way up to the ceiling. There is no view from this unit, but I already knew that. We bought all our meals so didn't use the kitchen for cooking, but there were pans and utensils if we had chosen to cook. The microwave was handy to heat up our left overs. The large trash bins were not far from the unit when we had to throw out all the trash before leaving. There was a full size stacking washer and dryer along with detergent and dryer sheet, which we didn't need to use. Getting in and out of the complex onto Rice St/Nawiliwili Rd can sometimes be difficult when there is a lot of traffic, but most times it was fine. The Costco, K-Mart, Times Supermarket, Longs Drugs, Sports Authority were all within a couple miles and easy to get to. Costco had the cheapest gas. We liked the food at Mark's Place in the Puhi Industrial area and at Fish Express across from Wilcox hospital. There were lawn chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, paperback books, extra towels and pillows available, which we didn't use.
