House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Timber Tee--a beautiful single-family home in Lewiston, Michigan. It was built in 1990 and has been maticulously maintained. The white pine siding throughout and neutral color palette are so relaxing. 3+ bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms provide ample accomodations for those wanting the comfort and convenience of private space, yet a large open floor plan provides the opportunity to share in the wonderful lakefront experience together.

Lots of windows, beautiful trees and a serene lakefront describe Timber Tee. Half of the lake is no-wake restricted-- perfect for the fisherman or a leisurely cruise. The other half is where you'll find the skiers, wakeboarders, tubers and other 'active' watersport fans. Timber Tee is conveniently located in the elbow between the two areas--no wake on our lakefront. The beach is sandy - fun for kids to play in, but the lake bottom is soft (no weeds). Best for floating on rafts and tubes. There are several sand bars on the lake. There is public access on Tee Lake. Bring your own watercraft to enjoy. Timber Tee has a private dock for you to tie off to.

...And the winter months are just as wonderful. The Lewiston area boasts some of the best snowmobile trails in Michigan. Enjoy a day in the sunny cold and come home to warm yourself by the fire. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are also popular winter activities. Thunder Bay Resort in Hilman offers sleigh rides into the elk reserve followed by a wine tasting and gourmet dinner in their beautiful remote log dining facility.

A little about us: Mark is an engineer with DTE Energy and an avid hunter. Marcia is a retired bank vice president and chief financial officer now homemaker. We are both Michigan natives and are anxious to share everything we love about Michigan with you! Mark and I are first time vacation home owners. And we want you to enjoy a 'home' with your rental experience! Everything is very well supplied and of top quality.

Mark and I always knew we wanted to retire to northern Michigan someday, but never knew how much until we found Timber Tee. We think you'll agree it's a most restful and beautiful home full of northern charm and ambiance. We are only 2 miles from the very popular Garland Resort noted for some of the finest golf in the State and if you're like us and love the crisp white northern Michigan winters, there is no better place than the Lewiston area for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and crosscountry skiing.

What makes this house unique

One of the aspects we particularly enjoy is the no-wake restriction of our immediate lakefront area. The very active all-sports area of the lake is only a very short cruise away, but it's nice not to have the noise and commotion right in front of our beach and it's certainly much safer for swimming and kayaking not to mention much better fishing!! Timber Tee is also located on a paved dead-end street, so there is virtually no traffic in front of the house making bicycling and walking very enjoyable.

We all had a wonderful time. The house was beyond beautiful. Even though the house is in a subdivision you still feel like you have privacy. I loved reading on the porch with my coffee it was so peaceful. We took the paddle boat out to the raft tide off and would hang out for the day. The raft has seats and a table built in. We loved it so much before we left I e-mailed the owners and set up next years vacation. The house was very clean the owner even called when we got there and asked if everything was in order. We have rented at many other places from Manistee to Florida and we have always had to fix, repair or replace something. We didn't here. Everything you need is there and more. I have 2 teenagers and they both had a great time too and that's not always easy to do. We all are looking forward to going back year.

Seven of us women enjoyed our first annual 'get away' on beautiful Tee Lake. The home was AMAZING and had everything a women would need. We will be back next year and many more to come. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us.

This is an extremely nice house in a very relaxing atmosphere! My six girlfriends and I stayed here for a few days to relax and get away from it all! We still had all the conveniences of home like cable, internet access, comfortable furniture, and a very large kitchen/dining where we spent lots of time cooking & catching up! The home was right on a beautiful lake with lots of sitting for star gazing & coffee. Thank you to the owners for your hospitality and letting us share your home!

Beautiful vacation home!

We had a great family vacation this summer, thanks to the beautiful home at Timber Tee! We enjoyed floating on our rafts in the crystal clear lake (yes, it was mucky, but that didn't stop us!), taking family walks and bike rides down the surrounding roads, fishing, campfires......what more could you ask for on vacation! Thanks to the gracious owners for making our stay PERFECT! (An added note: the house is quite comfortable for one who is handicapped or doesn't get around real well...my mom sat on the huge deck all day, which is practically right on the shore of the lake She didn't feel like she was missing out on the fun going on in the water, since she was so close to the action!).
Owner's Response: Glad you had such a great time--but that muck has got to go! When we bought the property in Sept 2011 we were so surprised to discover the muck despite the beautiful sandy beach. We will be contracting with a lakefront improvement co. in Spring 2013 to bring in "tons" of sand and related technology to improve the swimming area.

Our rental experience from start to finish on this lovely home was exceptional. The furnishings and decor are beautiful and more than comfortable. Every room brings a smile as you enter. Luxurious linens, every room was spotlessly clean, but warm and cozy. A lot of thought for the guests comfort has obviously gone into this rental. I would highly recommend this home, and we hope to stay again sometime. Very close to Garland golf course, fine dining, the town of Lewiston, and all the restaurants you need. Tee Lk., is gorgeous, waking up to the view over the lake couldn't be better. Great area, quiet neighborhood, great home and grounds, thank you so much Marcia for making your beautiful home available to us.
