A dream came true with this villa: a soul-calming ocean view from the veranda, a modernly built house with all amenities including hamam, but in the traditional style with stones and open wooden ceiling, ample space within the house and both sunny and shaded seating areas outside.

The villa is located on a hill, which provides breathtaking views over the ocean and onto the Peloponnese across the Kythira strait. With a rental car the next beaches are less than 15 minutes away.

The House: The house sleeps 2-6 people. It consists of a big living room, a master bedroom, and a tower with three floors, situated around a shaded courtyard.

The spacious living room has a fireplace, dining room (table seats eight), and working corner. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed and very comfortable mattresses and en suite bathroom with incredible views. The tower sleeps 1-4 children or young adults (double mattress on top floor, single mattresses on the other two floors with a separate en suite bathroom). The house has a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, electric oven, SMEG appliances), separate guest bath room, and a ground floor with separate access with hamam, shower/bathroom, TV room/play area, and yoga mats.

The Outdoor Area: The courtyard and the outdoor area have the most charming features:

- shaded dining area

- barbeque

- verandas with beautiful all-round views to the sea and the valley

- large parking area in the back of the house

- garden, where you can pluck your own figs, almonds and pomegranates and herbs for your grills (all organic).

Kythira is the place to relax, enjoy the peace, sun and nature - a true hidden treasure in the Mediterranean. Kythira is a small island (30 km x 10 km) between the Peloponnese and Crete, frequented mostly by Greeks and few foreigners. although English is understood and spoken everywhere. The island offers deserted beaches (sand or rocks) to swim and tan, a lush Western coast with rainforest-like vegetation, waterfalls and small ponds, trails for hiking and mountainbiking, and wonderful views. Fresh bread comes from the nearest baker in Karavas, or from the little town of Potamos with a wonderful Sunday morning farmers' market in the traditional square. Chora in the South has an old Venetian castle overlooking the port of Kapsali with taverns, bars and clubs on the beachfront.

The house is located on a hill just under a little church, and open to the Eastern side with a view on the Kythira strait and the Peloponnese peninsula, with rolling hills on all sides of the house

Amazing house - amazing view!

It’s taken me far too long to write this review and part of the reason is that I just can’t speak highly enough of my stay in this exceptional house in Kythira. It is immediately obvious when you walk into a space owned by someone who cares. If you have an appreciation for architecture & design, this place is immaculately executed & maintained! You will love every little detail -that is if you manage to go past the amazing view and focus on the house!! I spent a few days in the house in August 2011 along with a group of friends (totally 7 persons) and wish we could have stayed more. It was perfectly clean and comfortable and the housekeeper that lives next door was very polite and helpful. I totally recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Kythira!

A wonderful holiday

We have just spent a wonderful week at this lovely villa. It is high on a hill with glorious views over the sea and towards the Greek mainland. There are great beaches and unspoilt villages just a few minutes drive away. We also walked a lot, including to Furni beach - on a completely unspoilt and sheltered litte bay. Our favourite village was Potamos where we ate very well at the taverna in the main square. But we didn't want to leave the villa or its spacious garden - the photos on the website do not do it justice - this is a very well designed, elegant and comfortable house - all furnished in the best of taste. A great feature is the layout of lots of shaded outdoor spaces that are perfect for reading or relaxing. The highlight of every day was watching the sunset from the main terrace - perfection!
