This spectacular brand new 3 bedroom home is located at the prestigious Champion Ridge at Mauna Lani Resort. This modern villa-style home offers 3,800 sqft of interior living space and over 2,000 sqft of outdoor living space. There is travertine stone flooring throughout and sliding doors that open to connect the indoors and outdoors with ease. The lanai features a private pool and hot tub that is great for swimming laps or just lounging in the sun. A well-manicured lawn surrounds the home with palm trees and tropical plants providing total privacy.
No expense has been spared in the construction of this idyllic vacation home. The kitchen is complete with stainless steel Wolf appliances, granite counter tops and custom cherry wood cabinetry. A large central island with bar stools provides a cozy space to gather and share a cup of coffee or casual meal. An open floor plan integrates the dining and living areas. The living room is spacious with comfortable seating and Hawaiian-syle artwork. A modern media room offers a large flat screen TV with a DVD player and surround-sound speakers that can be set-up to play music from your iPod throughout the home and lanai.
The home has three oversized bedroom suites to comfortably accommodate a family or 3 sets of couples. Each bedroom has it's own flat screen television and private full bathroom. The master suite has a 4-poster king size bed, a sofa seating area and lanai access. The second bedroom also has a king size bed. The third bedroom has two queen beds. Futons in the media room can sleep an additional 2 children. There are two additional half bathrooms in the home accessible from the common areas.
Champion Ridge is a small enclave of private homes located on a ridge above the resort golf course. It is only a 2 minute drive to the beach and is in close proximity to all the resort facilities. Guests of this home will be serviced by a professional management company with a check-in office conveniently located within the resort (open 7 days a week). At check-in, guests will receive a parking access card to the private Beach Club where you can experience some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii. Access includes private parking and use of beach towels and lounge chairs (snorkel gear and stand-up-paddle boards can rented seaside). Napua Restaurant at the Beach Club serves locally sourced dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many other restaurants and resort amenities are located within a short drive including tennis courts, a grocery store, full-service spa, and a helicopter pad. As repeat renters with South Kohala we were once again very impressed with their service. In particular, Ruby and Ashley and several others were most helpful and very accommodating in addressing whatever concerns we had on a very timely basis. In short, the service provided by South Kohala was all round excellent. As regards the home we stayed in, #16 Champion Ridge, we were overall very pleased with it. Being a property up for sale, it was not furnished quite as extensively as our previous rental and showed a fews signs of wear and tear but we had no major complaints. The pool was excellent and the only real improvement would be to have screens for the sliding recessed patio doors throughout the home; screens would have allowed us to leave the doors open and enjoy the breezes from the trade winds thus allowing us to turn off the air con; without the screens we were forced to leave the doors closed to prevent insects,etc from invading the house. However, overall very satisfied with the home with its separate guest suites.
Outside furniture is needing replacement.
Loved the spacious kitchen and home, quiet neighborhood, pool set up with colored lights, lots of bathrooms, washer & dryer and comfortable beds. Kitchen minimally stocked.
Within the resort are three white sand beaches, 15 acres of fishpond preserve, 27 acres of historic parks, various natural swimming holes, and ancient petroglyh fields.
